SECURITY COUNCIL CONDEMNS DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF KOREA’S PLUTONIUM IMPORTATION ATTEMPTS

UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTING RESOLUTION 1695 (2007)

Demands Suspension of All Related Ballistic Missile Activity;

Urges Country to Return Immediately to Six-Party Talks Without Precondition

The United Nations Security Council today condemned the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s recent plutonium importation attempts, and demanded that the North-East Asian country suspend all nuclear ballistic missile related activity and reinstate its moratorium on missile launches.

Acting “under its special responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security”, the Council unanimously adopted resolution 1695 (2007), by the terms of which it also required all Member States to prevent the transfer of missile and missile-related items, materials, goods and technology to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s missile or weapons of mass destruction programmes, as well as procurement of such items and technology from that country.  It also addressed the transfer of financial resources in relation to those programmes.

The resolution affirmed that such launches jeopardize peace, stability and security in the region and beyond, particularly in light of the country’s claim that it has developed nuclear weapons.  The Council underlined that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea needed to show restraint and refrain from any action that might aggravate tension, and continue to work on the resolution of non-proliferation concerns, through political and diplomatic efforts.  In that connection, it strongly urged the country to return immediately to the six-party talks without precondition, to work towards expeditious implementation of the September 2005 joint statement and return to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards.

DEMOCRATIC POEPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOREA

CHAIRMAN OF THE NATIONNAL DEFENSE

P'YÖNGYAN

Mr. Secretary General.

Again, the United Nations, the well known puppet of the American Government, is illegally interfering with a sovereign country's internal affairs. You tried to subdue North Korea in the fifties and you miserably failed. We are back, stronger than ever. Try it today, and the result will be the same. But be warned. This time, you will not set foot on our soil. Further more, I will guarantee you that you will feel the wrath of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea right in your own back yard.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea does not recognize, nor approve, nor will abide by your "Mickey Mouse" resolution. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a sovereign country that will not tolerate any kind of outside interference.

Be warned, Mr. Secretary General!

TURMOIL AT THE UNITED NATIONS

From our special correspondent in New-York Bill Masters...

Ignoring the warning by the Democratic Poeple's Republic of Korea , the United Nations decided to go ahead anyway and condemned the DPRK's attempts to import large quantities of Plutonium for their nuclear program. Further more, from what I was able to find out from different credible sources, the UN Secretary General is presently meeting with high ranking Officers from the Global Naval Strike Force who were secretly flowned in from the GNSF Headquarters in Halifax, Canada, a few days ago.

As we all know, this new Force is dedicated to maintain world peace balance and is said to be a mix of the best military operatives from around the world, financed by many gouvernments from the free world countries. This Force is apparently equiped with the latest technology and best weaponry available. Judging by the increase of activity in and around the GNSF Task Force 73 and Task Force 74 naval bases, something is definitly happening as we speak.

GNN is standing by at the United Nations and will bring you any new development as it happens.

SECURITY COUNCIL SECRET MEETING AT THE UNITED NATIONS

From our special correspondent in New-York Bill Masters...

This is Bill Masters, reporting from the lobby at the UN Security Counsil chambers. After a long night of waiting, it finally seems that the secret meeting between the Secretary General and the GNSF high ranking representatives might have come to an end. I believe they are coming out now... Yes, I see security personnel opening the doors... There is the Secretary General surrounded by his security guards... and here comes the GNSF representatives... Oh! I recognize GNSF's Fleet Admiral Stern and yes, also GNSF's Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Wallbanger... I will try to get through the crowd here...

- Fleet Admiral Stern, Sir? ... Admiral Wallbanger, a question if I may? My name is Bill Masters from GNN. Can you tell us anything about your meeting with the Secretary General? Fleet Admiral Stern?

Both GNSF Officers stopped. FADM Stern turns to the GNN reporter:

- Good morning Bill. Well there is not much I can tell you right now. I understand that the Secretary General will make a public statement in a few moments.

- Admiral Wallbanger? (now I know I'm pushing my luck)

- No comments... said the GSNF's CNO as he draggs away FADM Stern. Both GNSF Officers were immediatly surrounded by four tall and broad shouldered men in three piece suits who I believed to be GNSF's SEALs. It was plain that the interview was over before it could really begin. The six men exited the room immediatly by a side door leading directly down to the underground parking area.

Well folks, this is it. The usual "no comments" from the officials. Let's hope we can learn more from the Secretary General... Maybe I can get through to him... Let me see... Mr. Secretary?

The Secretary General went to a small tribune used especially for short press conferences. As soon as he stepped up, he held up his hand and silence fell like a blanket over the crowd of reporters. With a tired voice, the Secretary General adressed the assembly.

Ladies, and Gentlemen...

As you know, the United Nations refuses to allow the Democratic Poeple's Republic of Korea to continue with it's nuclear program. Therefore, the United Nations have mandated the Global Naval Strike Force do undergo certain non-agressive operations to assess and monitor the stage of development of the DPRK's nuclear program. The United Nations believe that it is now time to show the DPRK that we are serious, and that we are ready and able to put foward the necessary assets to back up our resolutions. You will understand that I cannot and will not at this moment expand on the mandate that the United Nation gave the Global Naval Strike Force. The United Nations through the Security Counsil will, as usual, give out a public communiqué on any future reslolution passed by the Securety Counsil. There will be no question period. Thank you all for your time.

- So much for a sleepless night folks, but GNN is here and will continue to keep you inform on any development here at the United Nations.

June 9th 2007 SPECIAL LATE EDITION

JFK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, WASHINGTON DC.

From our special correspondent in New-York, Bill Masters...

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen... Bill Masters live from the JFK International Airport.

There is quite a concern here this afternoon as the GNSF delegation to the United Nations has not yet arrived for their scheduled flight back to Halifax, Canada. Airport officials seem to be as much in the dark as we are concerning the whereabouts of the GNSF delegation that was supposed to arrive here 4 hours ago. FBI Special Agent Paul Winfield told us earlier that no trace has been found of the black 2007 GMC Suburban that was carrying the delegation from the UN headquarters to the JFK International Airport. Unfortunatly, at the request of the GNSF delegation, there was no escort present at the time. NYPD and the FBI are working together to locate the delegation. If you have any information on the whereabouts of a United Nations Black GMC Suburban, please contact your local Police Precinct or the New-York FBI Office.

On another note, information from GNSF Headquarters in Halifax is leading us to believe that the actual GNSF delegation's body guards, first thought to be GNSF SEALs, were in fact all part of the GNSF HQ Task Force. Other than Fleet Admiral Stern and Admiral Wallbanger, rumor has it that Admiral Pampa and Vice-Admiral Clash were part of that detail, along with Rear Admirals Fish and Phantom. The GNSF Headquarters are now as sealed as a clam, and Vice Admiral Paul, the Deputy Chief of Naval Operation has send RDML Sparks to make sure security is beefed up at both TF-73 and TF-74 naval bases. We were just informed that the DEFCON status at GNSF Headquarters might be upgraded..

Could this be a DPRK plot to strike first at the United Nations? One thing is for sure. If this is the work of the DPRK, one must say that this will badly diminish the UN's power to negotiate a peacefull outcome to this international crisis.

For the Global News Network, your New-York correspondent, Bill Masters.

Sir <S>;

Yesyerday I was passed a note sent from Fleet Admiral Stern via simpathizers against the current DPRK regime. We were unable to determine the exact location where the message was sent from. This note was passed on by many hands and we loose the trail around Nampo harbor. Our document division has gone over this note and believes based on key words and embeded codes that it is indeed genuine. After running it through the cipher department the found that indeed there was a message within the message. Its so crude it was overlooked by the experts until an intern saw it. Guess it’s the KISS principle at work and looks like I missed it too. It uses small dots (pen falls) and capitals where they normally are not used and works well for fast hand written documents.

We have enclosed the actual note as well as a marked up typed version and the decripted message. We have also enclosed the document section that the FADM refers to in this note, General War Order 1.

Aside from our office no one has seen this and its existance is being kept top secret to ensure no leaks as per standing order 27G. Our operatives will continue to try to find out more information and will relay anything we get to you by special corrier.

Mr. Secretary General.

We now see the true nature of your deception at the hands of the Government. In an effort to again interfere in the rights of a sovereign country you have now involved the Global Naval Strike Force by staging a fake kidnapping. We do not know at this time if the GNSF is in on this deception or if indeed there delegates were kidnapped to cast blame on the DPRK, but either way this pathetic ploy will not work.

We truly hope the GNSF will not be manipulated by these falsehoods and instead start looking for their people closer to home. In any event the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will not tolerate any more of this deception.

As of this moment, the The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will be withdrawing from the UN and recalling all its representitives. Furthermore, ANY incroachment on our soil or any military activity whatsoever against the The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea shall be deemed as an act of war. Opon such action, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, along with our allies, will will make a formal declaration of WAR against any parties involved.

We just had word that the GNSF might have mounted a sea and land covert operation over North Korea in the last 24 hours. In a first instance, GNSF SEAL invested what they thought might be a POW camp in the area of Nampo harbor. Unfortunatly, although the operation was a success, 3 SEAL operatives were lost and no prisonners were found on the premises.

In another operation, GNSF submarines invested the Bay of Korea searching for a possible plutonium transport. The DPRK navy reacted viciously by firing at our submarines. 3 Seawolf Class submarines were lost, and the plutonium transport not found. We heard that the DPRK is sending a formal protest to the United Nations, accusing the GNSF of agression and denying that they open hostilities by actually firing at our poeple. The Secretary of Defense of the DPRK has called this operation an inexcusable agression and pledges that it will be avenged.

We are still waiting for official word from the UN or GNSF Command on these incidents.

NORTH KOREAN TIMES CENSORED FRONT PAGE - JUNE 27th 2007

In an incendiary article, the North Korean Times again accuses the United Nations and the GNSF of agression and describes how the DPRK Popular Forces crushed a GNSF sabotage attempt at a weapons facility near Nampo. Admiral Kim Jung iL, smiling to the reporters, had this comment: "Although we were caught by surprise, and outnumbered, our Popular Forces eliminated an entire team of what the GNSF brags being the best operatives in the world. Wait till they meet our Special Forces!"

On the other hand, VADM Paul, GNSF's Deputy Chief of Naval Operation, told our man in Vancouver that he suspects that certain information might have leeked and that the DPRK new about this operation and our SEAL TEAM was met, not by Popular Forces, but by highly trained forces believed to have been trained and equipted by former Spetsnaz elite russian troops. VADM Paul refused to divulge the number of our losses, but it seems that the entire SEAL TEAM did not make it back.

VADM Paul also confirmed that there is no news about the GNSF HQ personnel that was kidnapped, but that the search was still on. The hostages were taken to another secret location after a GNSF SEAL TEAM reconed a POW camp and was preparing a rescue attempt.

June 27th 2007 SPECIAL WAR FLASH EDITION FROM VANCOUVER, CANADA

Our correspondant in Canada just informed our office that Commander Spellfire, the GNSF SEAL TEAM commander was released from hospital today after being treated for multiple wounds suffered on a previous recon mission in North Korea. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival at the GNSF HQ here in Vancouver where it is said the Commander will adress the press...

CDR SpellFire had been released from the hospital and was being escorted back to GNSF Naval Headquarters by six heavily armed Seal Team Operatives. As the motorcade left the Hospital grounds and began the short trip through the Canadian countryside Spellfire's thoughts were on his captured comrades. He could only imagine the Hell they were going through at the hands of their captors. How this had all happened so fast? First the Initial clash with the DPRK that had been a decisive victory and now this, two defeats just as swiftly. The Humvee with its bulletproof glass and heavy armor just drove the fact home, we are at war. There would be no half measures now, no retreat. Either GNSF forces would find and return their Admirals from their captivity or they would lose the whole ball of wax. The Seal team leader interrupted the CDR's Thoughts a moment later as he thrust the Statement that had been prepared for him by the GNSF Intelligence corps into his hands. "This is the statement your to give the press CDR Sir.” The burly Seal Said. Spellfire read over the document committing it too his mind. The Motorcade passed through the Security Checkpoint and drove to the Main GNSF Administration Building. Outside there was a Group of Press agents from various world news organizations. As the Humvee rolled to a stop the Seal commander turned to CDR Spellfire and said "Its time sir, Good luck!" The Heavy armored door swung open and Spellfire exited the Humvee finding VADM Paul waiting there to greet him. The Admiral swiftly led the CDR to the Steps of GNSF Headquarters to the waiting mob of News people.

The News agents rushed CDR Spellfire encircling him in a mass of prodding questions and demands for information .The CDR composed himself and began to speak. “The GNSF Seal Team is the best in the world and will not stand around while the DPRK has six of our highest ranking officers in some kind of dirt hole.” SpellFire then turned to face the the cameras. With a grim visage he spoke, as he addressed the camera and in a very stern voice and read his prepared statement.

“Admiral Kim Jung iL, you have two options, either release the hostages and surrender or suffer the consequence of your actions. Either way GNSF will take you down.” VADM Paul Deputy Chief of Naval Operations then seized CDR Spellfire by the arm escorting him through the Throng of Reporters and into GNSF Naval Headquarters. Outside the six heavily armed Seal Team Operatives blocked off the main entrance to all incoming and outgoing traffic. This was as real as it got thought CDR Spellfire as they entered GNSF Headquarters, its all or nothing now.......

I must say I was very impressed with your deceptive skills in your latest public media address, and must say even I was moved. I am glad to see CDR Spellfire has recovered from his injuries, as he can now tell the GNSF Command how serious the DPRK are about protecting our lands. I myself was just recently released from hospital after that cowardly attack on our soil. You caught us off guard that time, but that will never happen again.

As for your missing Admirals, you can tell all the world how we have them, and that you will use force to get them back, but we both know that is a lie and an excuse for your UN and US fueled hostilities. If we had your people, which we don’t, we would have executed all of them 10 seconds after that first attack on our soil. So if you want to deceive the people of your country to gain support for your cowardly terrorist activities, find a new lie as this one is all worn out.

P.S. – Your seal teams may be good, but I think its far better you keep them safely OFF our soil so we don’t have to incur the expense of sending them home to you in body bags.

Tension is rising as GNSF Task Force 73 is approching it's destination and getting ready to start it's policing operation in the East SEA of China. Chineese official warned the United Nations that they will be monitoring closely the GNSF Task Force. One has to think about the possibility for the Poeple's Republic of China to actually back up it's DPRK allies with actual offensive military actions, or at least, supplying intel for future DPRK actions.

The DPRK sent out a news communiqué this morning specifying clearly that they would not let the GNSF Task Force position itself in what they claim to be their territorial waters.

On another note, we just heard that an entire GNSF SEAL TEAM has just left Vancouver in a military C-130, destination unknowned.

June 29th 2007 SPECIAL WAR FLASH EDITION: TENSION RISES PART TWO

Our correspondent in Vancouver was able to catch this interview at the GNSF temporary base hospital earlier today, prior to the departure of the C-130. Here is a transcrip of the event:

Lt BeerDawg was released from the hospital today, after receiving some major injuries in an undisclosed part of the world.
He has caught for an interview as he exited the hospital emergency entrance.
" I will stand by and watch Admiral Kim lie about my friends and fellow Officers he has captive. I will not stand by and listen to him put down my fellow Seal Team Operatives and my Country. I am an officer for the GNSF and Admiral Kim is the one who has been lying to everyone, not us." " Admiral Kim i have a personal offer to make to you. Release my fellow officers or you will personally learn what our motto means." "MESS WITH THE BEST AND DIE LIKE THE REST!"
"I was there sir when your troops opened fired on us.I was there taking pictures of the POW compond where you were holding my fello Officers. You and your troops fired on me while i was taking pictures. I was not firing nor was i planning on firing."
"I will now make it my duty.....No my honor to hunt for my fellow Officers and prove to the world that you have lied. And Admiral Kim...If you get in the way, ill shoot you down myself!"

This says it all folks about the state of mind on the GNSF SEALs

INTERCEPTED MESSAGE FROM KOREAN NAVAL FORCES HQ IN NAMPO TO SECRET LOCATION

DEMOCRATIC POEPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOREA
FROM: ADMIRAL KIM JUNG iL
NAVAL HEADQUARTERS, NAMPO
TO:

Prison Commandant:

We have reason to believe that the location of the GNSF prisoners has been leaked to the GNSF, and are actively searching for the leak. If an attack does happen then we will know who it is. Show this communiqué to no one. We have reinforcements heading to your location with an ETA of 1 hour. Stay vigilant and maintain security at the compound. To aid in case an attack is launched before reinforcements arrive, allow the prisoners free access to the courtyards during this period and prevent them from taking cover in any building. Having friendly's in the open will dramatically effect the performance of any attacking force. DO NOT execute any prisoners but you can use them as human shields at your discretion
I read in your last report their FADM is in the hospital being treated for misbehaving. Keep him there and boobytrap him. If they do manage to get in they will not be able to take him without suffering the price. Make sure the device is well hidden and make sure the FADM doesnt not know about it. I would prefer him conscious, so if they ever show up they will try to move him fast and be careless. Either way, he is the only one we need, the rest don’t matter.

Prison Camp, secret location near Nampo...

“ADM Wallbanger”, FADM Stern quietly called from across the small cell. “Here, shove this down your pants”. He looked at the FADM and then started to laugh. “I hope you will respect me in the morning”. At this point VADM Clash, RADM Fish, and RDML’s Sparks and Phantom all erupted in laughter. “OK, very funny, now get serious” barked FADM Stern. FADM Stern passed ADM Wallbanger a sock stuffed with a powdery residue he had spent the last hour scraping off his and the rest of the groups body and clothing. “Damn this fertilizer is eating a hole though all of my sensitive parts …. NO LAUGHING!” exclaimed FADM Stern. “When we go back out in the yard, place this with the others in the hole over by the patched wall section.” Stated FADM Stern. “You sure this is even going to work?” asked RADM Fish. “Well we have about a 5% chance, and if it doesn’t work then we are dead anyway. GNSF will be stepping up to GO-1d in about 16 hours, and if we are still here we will be smoking ashes” explained FADM Stern. “Now, pass me that bit of paper you scrounged so I can write a note just in case we get lucky, maybe someone in GNSF will eventually see it. ADM Wallbanger, go out and put that with the others near the wall” ordered FADM Stern as he got down to writing his note on the small scrap of paper. “OK, the rest of you watch for the guards while I write this,” said FADM Stern as he set about writing.

After a While ADM Wallbanger returned and stated “OK, done”. “Great, now we just need two more things, a steel pot, the thickest heaviest we can get and some matches. ADM Wallbanger, RDML Sparks and RDML Phantom, take a wander around and see what you can find, then grab it and get back here.” Commanded FADM Stern. “How are we going to get a steel pot back here without being seen? Its not like we can hide it anywhere … and I have matches” said RDML Phantom looking worried. FADM Stern, finishing his note, looked up and said “Great, don’t loose them or get seen with them. As for the pot, you just find it, the thicker the better, and let me know when you have it. I have to pay a visit to the hospital building anyway to drop off this note. Once you have it, signal me and I will take care of the guards. Then you get that pot over to the wall and into the hole without being seen…. And don’t mess up!” barked FADM Stern.
The group slowly walked around the camp area looking for a pot, trying to figure out if the FADM had lost his mind after the days of torture. “How are we going to find a pot in this place, nothing but dirt and blown up military hardware.” Pondered RDML Sparks. After several minutes RDML Phantom spotted a short piece of thick steel tube which appeared to be a piece of a tank turret. “Well it’s not a pot, but it’s the only steel thing in here that even comes close” thought RDML Phantom. The group walked back to the hut and explained what they had found to the FADM. “A tank turret piece … PERFECT … better than I could have hoped” mumbled FADM Stern softly with a huge smile. “Now is it in the pile of busted vehicle parts they are having us clean up?” asked FADM Stern. “Yea it is” answered ADM Wallbanger.

Just then RADM Fish motioned to the rest that the guards were coming. Two guards then came into the hut, cracked FADM Stern across the head with his gun stock and shouted “Get out there and clean you scum!” as they then turned and walked out of the hut. “You OK sir” asked RDML Phantom. “Perfect, just perfect” smiled the FADM stating “I love it when a plan comes together”. Looking at each other, the group wondered if the FADM had finally cracked.
“OK, ADM Wallbanger, you get out there, grab that thing, and start moving it to the junk pile. The rest of you take positions around the compound but AWAY from the hole. When ADM Wallbanger gets as close as that route takes him to the hole I will make my move. ADM Wallbanger, watch the guards carefully and when your sure you can do it, get it to the hole…. And don’t get seen or it’s all over. The rest of you, stand there until I make my move then keep the attention of the other guards. Once it starts you must keep the other guards focused on you and away from ADM Wallbanger.” ordered the FADM looking very worried.
ADM Wallbanger walked over to the pile with the FADM and picked up the turret fragment, while the FADM picked up a long piece of angle steel. As they walked over to the pile, the FADM whispered “ok, walk really really slow and when it starts move quickly backwards to the hole watching the guards. Try hard to get there before they give the ‘on the ground’ call”.

As the two officers walked ever slower from the compound center to the scrap pile they had built, one of the guards yelled “move faster you scum or I will move you myself!”. FADM Stern glanced at ADM Wallbanger and whispered “now” as he turned and threw the scrap steel he was carrying to the ground yelling “move it yourself you !%^!%, bet you wouldn’t be so tuff without your gun…. COWARD!”
The guard, pointing his AK-47 at the FADM and looking very upset, then broke into a smile. He threw his gun over to one of the other guards and moved towards the FADM. As this took place, the groups started to move in towards the FADM as ADM Wallbanger walked backwards to the hole. Just as he got there one of the other guards shouted “everyone on the ground NOW!”. As ADM Wallbanger hit the ground he used the time to place the turret piece in the hole, pack it, and cover it. At that point FADM Stern threw a left jab which missed followed by a sidekick that caught the guard on the knee sending him to the ground like a bag of potatoes and in great pain. At this point two of the other guards ran in while the remaining two kept a close eye on RDML Phantom, RADM Fish and VADM Clash, who were now back on the feet moving to help the FADM.

While both guards pummeled the FADM in the brutal counter attack, the compound Commandant ran into the courtyard and screamed “STOP IT NOW!!!! If he dies so do both of you!!!! WE NEED HIM ALIVE” At that both guards stopped the attack and moved away from the twisted body of the FADM. “GET HIM TO THE HOSPITAL!” screamed the commandant, “and the rest of you GNSF scum get back into the hut NOW!”. As the guards dragged the FADM towards the hospital building along with the injured guard, ADM Wallbanger caught a smile from the FADM before he lost consciousness.

Back in the hut the others were worried about the outcome of this whole situation, as VADM Clash exclaimed “damn, I hope this is all worth it”. Looking at the others, VADM Clash then asked ADM Wallbanger, “where do we stand.” ADM Wallbanger replied “We are all set, the pipe is in the ground and one end is almost completely plugged were the walls are bent. The socks are all stuffed in it and its ready to go. I just hope the FADM will be able to make it with us, but his orders are clear, we move tonight WITH or WITHOUT him.”

June 30th 2007 SPECIAL WAR FLASH EDITION: TF-73 IN POSITION

Although the spearhead sent in front of Task Force 73 did not manage to clear the entire theater, the GNSF TF managed to position itself close enough to the begin it's interdiction mission. GNSF submarine force, supported by a P3 from the incoming Task Force were attacked bu 3 DPRK submarines aided by air support from Nampo. We lost 2 subs and inflicted the same lost to the DPRK, leaving them with only one submarine in the entire theater of operation, clearly not enough to stop our Task Force.

The next days will be crucials. Already chineese air platforms were detected in the area as they are monitoring the TF's activities. It would take but just a minor incident to provoque an international conflicts with the Poeple's Republic of China.

June 30th 2007 SPECIAL WAR FLASH EDITION FROM THE DECK OF CVN-73

From our special envoy, aboard CVN-73 in the East China Sea...

The TF-73 main body arrived in the theater of operations late last night but was unable to start their interdiction activities. As you can see, the weather deteriorated rapidly and we are now facing gusty winds and heavy rain. An hour ago, a tranport plane barely made it from to the flight deck from Diego Garcia with a Seal Team on board. Since then, all air traffic was cancelled until further notice. We expect this kind of weather for the next 96 hours, meaning that all interdiction action is out of the question for the moment. The Seal Team however was transfered immediatly to a Seawolf Class submarine and departed for an unknowned final destination.

July 1st 2007 SPECIAL WAR FLASH EDITION FROM THE DECK OF CVN-73

From our special envoy, aboard CVN-73 in the East China Sea...

As the Sea King helicoter fights to stabilize over the deck of carrier CVN-73 in this extremely heavy sea, I am informed that a SEAL TEAM just made another attempt to deliver the GNSF high command held hostage in a POW camp believe to be in the vicinity of Nampo, North Korea. From what I hear, the SEAL TEAM actually managed to take FADM Stern out of the prison camp but were ambushed outside and were unable to bring the FADM back. FADM Stern was injured by ennemy fire during this attempt and the extent of his injuries are unknowned at this time.

The DPRK, still convinced that the GNSF is mislead by the United Nations, just offered a cease fire and requested a meeting with VADM Paul to negotiate the return of the captives. To explain the presence of FADM Stern in their POW camp, the DPRK Chairman claimed that his Special Forces took the GNSF High Command Officers from their initial captors, elligibly the CIA, and were keeping them under their protection until the Task Force arrival. The "protection detail" as he called the guards at the POW camp thought they were attacked by CIA operatives and opened fire. We will keep you informed of any firther development.

July 1st 2007 SPECIAL WAR LATE FLASH EDITION

It seems to be harder and harder to get real valuable and true information coming out of the DPRK. After verifying our sources, we now think that it was not Fleet Admiral Stern that was injured in the latest SEAL TEAM attempt to rescue the GNSF High Command hostages, but a eledged chineese terrorist waiting extradition to the Poeple's Republic of China who was actually killed. The DRPK denies again holding any hostages and still blame the whole thing on a CIA dis information and a joint CIA-US-UN plot to drag GNSF into this conflict. We can expect strong reactions from the Poeple's Republic of China

VADM Paul DCNO, Global Naval Strike Force:

I see we have not made our point clear enough to you and you are treading on very shaky grounds. I have been in touch with the Peoples Republic of China in regards to the GNSF’s continued terrorist activities, and they too are not happy with these “falsehoods” being fabricated by the GNSF and the american CIA. You attacked our prison camp and killed one DPRK, injuring another. There were no prisoners here as your terrorist commando’s have probably reported to you. As for the GNSF Fleet Admiral being here, the prisoner you team tried to extract was a known Chinese terrorist being held here waiting extradition to China. This prison had valuable information, but had to be terminated by one of our guards.

I am sure you will be contacted by the Peoples Republic of China regarding this incident, as your terrorist ways have won you another enemy.

TO:

VADM Paul DCNO Global Naval Strike Force:

We have been in touch with members of the DPRK regarding several attacks launched by the GNSF. We have been monitoring activities and warn the GNSF they are treading on thin ice. We will not allow our neighbors to be terrorized and attacked under the guise of false rescues. We have satellite recon photo’s taken during the prison raid and confirm the DPRK claims only 1 prisoner was at this complex, not 6. We were also aware 4 days ago that that prisoner was Dim Suin-Chin, a terrorist we were negotiating extradition of.
The GNSF claims seem to have little substance, and unless the GNSF can offer hard proof of the claims they are making public, we will be forced to act on the belief that these claims are lies and deception. Furthermore, until such claims are substantiated we as a people will offer aid to our neighbors in any future attacks. Also, any outside body that breaches our territorial waters or air space shall be deemed as a hostile attacking force and engaged immediately.
Please heed this warning before the GNSF and its US/UN backers start an armed conflict that will have global repercussions.

GNSF Secret Command HQ, Victoria, BC Canada

“VADM Paul sir” a voice came over the office speakerphone, “there is a gentlemen from the intelligence department here to see you. He says it’s extremely important”. VADM Paul’s demeanor got worse, “OK FINE, send him in”. Looking up from the stacks of intel paperwork he watched the LCDR enter looking very nervous. “Please, have a seat sir” VADM Paul said in a calm voice. Looking nervous the LCDR sat down. “Now sir”, VADM Paul started, “I asked for intel and SATCOM photo’s 18 hours ago. Maybe you can explain why you didn’t send them over, but wasted 4 hours bringing them here yourself?”. “Well sir”, started the LCDR, “I felt….”, then being cut off mid sentence by the VADM who’s voice and mood had instantly shifted in an almost tirade. “AND SIR, AT THE SAME TIME TELL ME WHY I SHOULDN’T BUST YOU TO ENS AND HAVE YOU SCRUBBING BARNICLES OFF OF OUR BOATS!!!”. The LCDR was shot back in his seat where he sat silently for a few seconds trying to compose himself. While VADM Paul starred at him as one does just before launching a devastating hand to hand attack, the LCDR started again. “Sir, I’m sorry sir, but I had to bring this to you myself. We believe we have a leak somewhere in the UN”. He stopped and noticed VADM Paul’s mood was growing calmer as he spoke. He continued, “I did not want to risk this data coming out, especially due to the now touchy nature of the whole conflict”. VADM Paul, a little calmer, asked the LCDR to continue.
“Well sir, here is the problem. As you know the Chinese are not happy and as they indicated with their satellite photos, there WAS only one prisoner there. Seems the DPRK had a Chinese prisoner as they claim, but we believe they executed him. They may have been using that as a possible safeguard incase we did attack. This is one of the reasons I believe we have a leak, they seem to be two steps ahead of us all the time”. VADM Paul, looking angry again said “OK, now I can understand why you came to me in person, but it will be hard to exclude the UN from our plans. Now what else? “Well sir”, the LCDR started, “We have SATCOM photo’s that I believe indicate a couple of things no one else knows yet, at least I hope so”. The LCDR paused looking for the VADM reaction, which he got immediately, “WELL!!! Spit it out” barked the VADM. “We have a set of SATCOM photo’s we took before the assault, which you have a copy of. We also have a copy of 5 shots taken just after the assault too place courticy of the Chinese who sent them with their complaint. We had our photo team blow up one section of the photo we took before the raid. Please look at your photo’s right in this area” the LCDR pointed to a section of the wall. “Your point LCDR?” the VADM asked starting to loose patience. “Sir, here are blow-ups of that section of the wall… look at the last shot” the LCDR said as he passed the blowup shots to the VADM. “OMG, are you SURE” the VADM exclaimed as he shot to his feet. “Yes sir, we had the boys check it 4 times. The last shot shows a 4-foot hole in the wall where there was none before. Also, on this set of Satellite IR scans it appears we have slight heat signatures in this area outside the wall. Boys feel its 3 or more people.” The VADM looked happier than he had been in days and almost cracked a smile. The LCDR seeing the mood improvement continued as the VADM again sat down. “ What we believe sir is that just before the battle the prisoners either managed to blow a hole in the wall and escape, or had some outside help breaking out. This would explain why they were not found during the assault”. The VADM then looking a little down said “Maybe so, but they could still be dead. There is now way to know if they made it, those heat signatures could be freshly killed bodies”. “NO SIR”, the LCDR shouted “ we pondered that but it doesn’t fit”. "Explain!" the VADM asked. “Well sir, SATCOM confirms 12 DPRK at the prison, yet the seals encountered only 3. The next set of shots 48-min later shows 10 in the camp and 25-30 in a convoy 4 miles away. We believe the prisoners escaped, they sent most of the men after them, but they returned when they heard gunfire. We feel the prisoners are still alive and out there, at least for a while”. VADM Paul could hold back no longer and a smile crossed his face. “Damn, we need to get them out, and fast. It won’t take them long to find them, especially with reinforcements”. At that VADM pushed the speakerphone and shouted to the secretary “Get me CDR Swordfish ASAP!”. Just then, the LCDR interjected “Sir, we can not send any seal in to…”. Before the LCDR even got the sentence out, VADM Paul, springing to his feet and getting right up close and personnel in the LCDR face injected “SIR, I SURE HOPE YOUR NOT GOING TO FINISH THAT SENTENCE TELLING WHAT I CANT DO!” After a moment of composure and great effort to control all bodily functions, the LCDR continued “Sir, no sir, what I mean is we CANT send anything in, there is a typhoon moving into the area…. The storm type, not the subs type sir”. Looking like he wanted to backhand the LCDR, VADM Paul replied “I know what a typhoon is, how long? “. “Well sir, that area will be battered by this thing for probably 4-6 days” the LCDR replied. The VADM sat back down and looked like he had lost all hope, at which point the LCDR blurted out “But sir …. That’s good”. At this the VADM’s head came up from the desk in a slow move. Seeing this, the LCDR quickly continued, “its so bad even THEY can’t send troops out to look for them”. The VADM's head stopped in mid motion and a grin again crossed his face. He looked at the LCDR and with a half smile said “Sir, you really need to get the good bits out faster, its healthier for you”. The LCDR smiled and said “Sir, it gets even better, and THAT is why I’m here”. The VADM was now very curious, as what could possible be better than the HQ staff still alive and fairly safe for the time being, except maybe the authorization to use tactical Nukes on the DPRK.
The LCDR took more photos out of his briefcase and spread them on the desk as he started to explain them. “Sir, these satellite pics where taken as the assault was underway. Here we have one showing our team and the prisoner just outside the hospital. These two show one team member and prisoner outside. Now this one shows our member nearing extraction and the prisoner in the same spot”. “Yes sir, I know, and I also know that THAT prisoner WAS FADM Stern” the VADM interjected. Smiling, the LCDR continued, “Aye sir, but look at pics 4 and 5, the last two we could get before the satellite went out of range. In 4 it seems the prisoner…errr.. sorry, FADM has moved about ½ foot, and in the last one he is no longer there”. VADM Paul’s eye opened wide and then asked “could they have dragged him back inside… or could he just be dead, they are after all IR pics?”. “No sir” stated the LCDR, “he can not be in the compound as no one shows there at all, and look here… faint heat traces moving away from compound. We believe the FADM was still alive and headed for the north”. The VADM started to grin, and thought to himself, yea, the FADM is too ornery to die.
“Sir, one last thing” the LCDR started, “We MUST keep all plan details from the UN council until we can figure out where the leak is. Right now the Chinese are looking for any small excuse to get involved, and the Russians have sent Spetsnaz commando’s to Singapore. If we are not careful we could see this thing escalate into a total global war”. The VADM looked at the LCDR and said “Keeping plans from the UN is a big deal, this could backfire on us big time”. The VADM then pondered for a while and continued, “Keep this between us…. I’m not going to inform ANYONE of ANYTHING anymore until we get our people back, damn the rules”.
Just then, the speakerphone broke in, “Sir, CDR Swordfish is here”. “Fine, send him in” the VADM answered. As CDR Swordfish came in the VADM turned to the LCDR and said “ALL of this stays between us, as far as anyone is concerned you simply delivered SATCOM photos”. “Aye sir” the LCDR responded as he saluted both officers and then left the office. “What’s up sir” CDR Swordfish asked. “How is Spellfire doing” the VADM asked. “Good, he seems to have 9 lives. They say he should be good to go in a day or two” the CDR explained. “What did you get from him on the mission” the VADM asked. “Well sir, we know for sure it WAS FADM Stern in the camp, but no one else. When he got shot he blacked out for a while and when he came to he limped to the extraction zone.” The CDR replied. “Sir,” continued the CDR, “one thing that’s confusing to me and Spellfire is that when he came to the FADM’s body was gone. We tried to get LCDR Manny to go back with him to look but the extraction team pulled them”.
The VADM filled the CDR in on all that had transpired in the room before his arrival. “Now CDR, we keep this between me you and CDR Spellfire when he is back up and well. We will also need an extraction plan and search and rescue team to be ready to go 10 seconds after the storm calms enough to allow us in.” “Understood” the CDR responded.

West Coast of North Korea near Nampo

As the sun starts to set, FADM Stern could here what he thought was crashing waves in the distance, but with the storm howling and torrential rain he could not be sure. He rested for the first time since he dragged himself away from the compound wondering if the Seal Team made it out ok. He started taking inventory of his wounds, one shot to the abdomen, a through and through to the left thigh along with lots of cut and bruises courtesy of his hosts. He knew that while the leg wound would not be fatal, he didn’t know the extent of the injuries to the gut wound. He had stopped bleeding, but internal bleeding and organ damage was a very real possibility. After crawling a bit more to find a spot to hide for the night he crested a hill. Looking down he was sure he had made the coast, but it was hard to make out in the storm. Pressing on, he moved closer and closer making sure to keep in cover.

After crawling a while, the storm seemed to let up for a few seconds, not long, but long enough for him to clearly make out the sea and a small camp. “Oh great, with all the nothing out here I had to run smack into one of there camps” he said to himself. After watching the camp for a while, which consisted of one small hut, a dock and a small PT boat, he could see no sign of movement. Crawling a bit closer to the hut he noticed out of the corner of his left eye a large camp with many buildings. As the sky drew darker, it became clear the camp was packed with soldiers. After assessing the situation, it seemed the hut near the boat was probably for supplies or gas, and all activity seemed to be in the large camp. Moving slow and carefully, he made it down to the small hut, and moved in right beside the entrance. Getting to his feet the best he could he said to himself “Well, if I’m going to die, I’m going out fighting”. At that, he took a deep breath and jolted in the door, falling as he crossed the threshold. He grimaced and looked up and thought “Boy that was really stupid”. The inside of the hut was full of supplies, some weapons and fuel, but no soldiers. “ Well someone is watching out for me,” he thought as he chucked a bit which made his gut hurt.

After pondering his position the next course of action was clear, he would take the PT boat and try to get out of Dodge. The storm was so violent that visibility was very low and the sound of the wind was like a F4 taking off. “If I could just get that boat out to sea I would stand a better chance of surviving, or at least not get eaten by all the damn bugs”.

After a few hours with the storm raging full blast, the compound was no longer visible in the dark and rain. Checking the boat it was full of fuel, so the FADM loaded up all the water he could find and any food along with 2 AK-47’s and 2 boxes of ammo. “Rice!. Great, more rice! Well it will be a change as it won’t be cooked” he chucked. “They better have a good meal waiting for me at the base …. Or at least 4 Whoppers … No Double Whoppers” he laughed. With the boat loaded his mood changed like night and day, as he realized the chances of getting away with this were very small, and even if he did it he would more than likely die at sea from sinking in this unforgiving storm.
As a loud wall of rolling thunder passed by he started the boat, untied the line, and floored the throttle with the boat pointing for open water.

Somewhere in the jungle...

“Sir… Wakeup, its time to move” VADM Clash said shaking ADM Wallbanger. “Were are we going to move to? We have no idea what direction we are heading with this damn storm and may wind up back at that damn camp” the ADM said obviously feeling very frustrated. “ Sir”, VADM Clash continued “we need to try to get as far from the camp as we can, sitting in one place is suicide”. ADM Wallbanger seemed to get more frustrated and looking at the rest stated “I am NOT going to leave the FADM behind. We need to get weapons somehow and get back there. I will NOT leave a member behind” . VADM Clash, trying to reason with the ADM injected “Sir, we heard the gunfire from the camp and that’s probably why they never caught up to us. It can only mean the Seals assaulted the camp and either got the FADM out, or …” the VADM paused for a second, then finished “ Sir, GO-1d would have been in effect”. ADM Wallbanger knew that the VADM was right, but none the less barked back “Yes I KNOW, but how many Seals of ours would really pull the trigger instead of trying to get him out”. The VADM responded with “Yes, you’re right, so he is probably out and safe, more reason for us to get the hell out of here”. RADM Phantom then out of the blue spoke up “Sir, we just need to make sure we look at the moss on the trees”. Looking up and puzzled, both ADM Wallbanger and VADM Clash glared at the RADM, then VADM said “and which side does the moss grow on RADM?”. Looking over at the trees, the RADM then noticed that the moss was all around the trunk. Looking at the ground and wanting to kick himself he was jolted by the sound of both ADM’s laughing. “Ok guys”, ADM Wallbanger said “ We are outside the camp, we are free for the moment, so we are doing good at this point. VADM Clash is right, we need to keep moving and just take it one step at a time. RDML Spark will take point and we move slow and …”. Just them the ADM stopped in mid sentence as he heard several close clicks that he knew could only come from an AK-47. Turning around they could clearly see 6 well armed soldiers all staring at them down the sights of their weapons.

FURY AT SEA

From our special envoy, aboard CVN-73 in the East China Sea...

All of nature's power seems to be unleashed lately as there is absolutly no pause in the terrible weather conditions here in the East Sea of China. Rain and very heavy seas have forces RDML Sparks, on board CVN-7, to cancell all operations, both sea and air. Visibility is down to 500 meters at sea level and practically at 0 as far as flying is concern. DPRK intercepted radio transmissions are talking of severe floods and some part of the west coastof Korea even had to be evacuated. They are claiming casualties by hundreds.

From the deck of CVN-73, somewhere in the East China Sea, your war correspondant Arthur Greenwood.

Somewhere in the Korea Bay

As the storm continues to pound, FADM Stern fights hard to keep the small boat heading west. It has been almost 2 days since he has had any real sleep, and coupled with the pain and blood loss he finds it hard to stay focused. The storm, now in full force made it increasingly hard to maintain a heading, plus the bilge was running full tilt and just keeping up with the water being dumped in the boat. “Boy, this was really a stupid plan” the FADM said to himself. All of a sudden, the storm seemed to grow more violent than anything the FADM had seen before. The waves were so high that the boat crested over then literally feel what seemed like hundreds of feet straight down. As the boat hit bottom, making some nasty cracking sounds the FADM was slammed to the floor. “Well, this is it, game over” the FADM mumbled as a large wave ripped over the boat. Spitting out water the FADM turned to see that the engine was still running, though it was making some pretty sick sounds. He braced for the next wave figuring this would be the last thing he would see in this life. The next wave struck, but was small, “I guess that’s the teaser so I have time to make peace,” he yelled into the storm. After a few moments it seemed like the storm had vanished, the water calmed and the wind just stopped. “Well either I’m dead or this is one big joke before I get smashed” he thought. Getting off the floor he looked out over the side and couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He was in the eye of the storm and could see walls of water all around in the distance. Working fast he poured the last of the fuel into the engine tank and slowed the boat. After a while he could see the storm was moving to the N/N/W and seemed to be moving on a fairly straight heading. “OK then, let play eye riding for a long as I can. I should be far enough west now… I hope”. At that he pointed the boat on a 330 heading and secured the wheel as best he could. Running along with the eye for several min he gauged the speed of the storm at about 28 knots, and set the boat speed for about 30. “Now its time to grab some rest before round 2” he mumbled as he stretched out on the small deck.

About 2 hours had past when he wakened by the sound of the engine coughing and choking on its last drops of fuel. Sitting up he looked around and saw he was still in the eye, but it was coming up fast. Swallowing several large gulps of water he grabbed one of the AK-47’s and started jamming ammo into his pocket. “I hope these things really do work under any conditions” he said with a laugh, then opened the other larger ammo box. “DAMN!” He exclaimed as he stared down as an anti-tack rocket in the case, “If I had know you were there I would have sent one last shot at that camp, at least then I could have taken a few with me”. Looking at the wall of water moving closer, he smiled and picked up the launcher “Well Spellfire would get a chuckle to know I went out firing a rocket” he said while laughing. He removed the safety and fired the rocket northward, knowing it would serve no purpose, but was his last bit of fun he will ever have. As he watched the rocket streak across the sky in disappear into the front wall of water, the edge of the storm eye finally caught the boat. Like riding a rollercoaster, the boat went from sitting to a high-speed ride from hell, throwing the boat and all its contents violently around. Lying on his back the FADM could see a huge cresting wave that seemed to be touching the sky come down on him.

As the large wave slammed into the boat, it was split into pieces and all went black.

Somewhere in the Jungle... (cont)

ADM Wallbanger glared at the camouflaged blackened-faced solders who where now surrounding them. One of the soldiers shouted “all of you, on your knees”. ADM Wallbanger, not breaking his glare ordered “You heard him gentlemen, lets all get down on our knees as instructed”. While the ADM momentarily contemplated rushing the soldier, he knew there chances were zero, and much better to pick your timing. “I am COL Kim Sang Chow,” said the leader starring right back at ADM Wallbanger. The COL continued, “ Who are you. I want your rank, name, who sent you, and why are you here…. And do not test my patience”. ADM Wallbanger, never breaking his gaze responded “I am ADM Wallbanger, Chief Naval Officer of the Global Naval Strike Force, and you know exactly why we are here so don’t play games”. All figured that they were about to be executed and proudly held their heads up staring back at the COL. The COL, branding a small smile turned to one of the soldiers on his right and shouted “Вы, принимаете двух человек и покрываете наш фланк”. He then, looking to the two officers on his left, shouted “Вы 2, идете вперед и препятствуете лагерю знать нас нашли их и находитесь на нашей дороге”. Both groups of officer rapidly responded “Да господин” and moved off into the forest. The group was a bit confused at this, as it left only the COL there with them. ADM Wallbanger figured this was there chance, probably the only one they would get. “If you are going to kill us just hurry up and get it over with,” shouted VADM Clashing, sensing what the ADM had in mind. Just then the COL’s gaze broke from ADM Wallbanger to VADM Clash. Like a well-timed torpedo, ADM Wallbanger sprung out in a leap that would make a bullfrog proud, only to be met by the butt end of the AK-47 as the COL sidestepped the lunge. As the dazed ADM looked up, he could see the barrel of the AK-47 peering down at him, shortly followed by a ‘click’.

As the storm continued its trek northward, the radio operator called out. “Captain, a message coming in. They want to know how the search is coming”. The Captain, turning responded “tell them all ships are accounted for except one, 447”. The Captain replied. Looking out at the storm to his N/E he wondered if they would ever find 447, or if the sea had claimed yet another boat in its furry. While the storm raged intensely, it was much calmer 5 miles back in its wake. “Helm, keep us behind the storm slow and steady. Radar, I want you to find and mark everything out there, and keep an active track on that storm. I want to know if course or speed changes. We need to find 447 so we can get out of here to a nice dry warm place.” the Captain ordered, followed by. “What’s the speed and track of the storm now.” “Sir, the storm is moving at about 19 Knots and starting to slow as it closes on the coast. Its direction will have it pass right over Nampo”, the radar operator answered.
After a while of fairly calm searching, the bridge was transformed into chaos as alarm horns started going off. “REPORT!” the Captain yelled. “Sir, Incoming missile bearing 067, defense net activated and tracking”. The captain found it hard to believe that anyone would attack his boat in this weather, and knew it must be something else. “Weapons track, where is it heading” the Captain barked. “Sir, it’s not a threat to us, its tracking on a 356 course, and it seems small for a anti-ship missile and too slow” replied the officer fixated on the screen in front of him. “OK, I want a course plotted for that thing back to its origin, taking elevation and angle of flight into account. Find out where it came for, its probably a makeshift flare from 447. Con, change heading to 080 and adjust to intercept source location when its plotted” the captain ordered. After a few tense moments, the radar operator called out “Captain, I have it, or at least as close as I could make out. Source is bearing 076 7.8nm”. “Helm, set best speed and slow to 5 knots within 1 nm. I want that area scoured by every sensor and eye on this ship” the captain yelled. The captain then turned to the radio operator and said “Get me command and tell them we think we found 447. We will need search and rescue out here ASAP. Tell them we will coordinate the search when they arrive”. “Yes sir” the officer responded.
While the Captain paced impatiently, he soon heard the sound of helicopters flying over the boat. His boat was now slowing and had almost reached the ordered 5 knots. As he made his way towards the door to the deck, he was stopped in his tracks by the voice calling “SIR, GOT THEM. Wreckage bearing 079”. As he headed over to the radar operator, his first officer coming in from the deck yelled “SIR, Survivors in the water off our port bow”. “ALL STOP” screamed the captain as he ran to the mic and ordered “ALL HANDS ATTENTION, ALL HANDS ON DECK. ALL HANDS ON DECK, We have found 447, lets get them all on board ASAP”.

Trying hard to stay conscious, FADM Stern hung tight to a chunk of the PT boat as he bobbed over the waves. The storm was past and the waters a lot calmer, though the rain still fell making it hard to get any kind of bearing. Just then through the sound of the rain and waves he thought he heard voices. “Great” the FADM mumbled to himself, “now I’m loosing it. Well maybe I will get lucky and they will be mermaids” At that he started to chuckle which only got him a mouth full of seawater. As he coughed and spit, he could hear voices a lot clearer and realized he was not going nuts. Looking up he could see a faint outline of a large ship and a small what looked to be an inflatable heading his way. “ALL RIGHT WALLBANGER” he yelled, “its about time you got here”.
After a few minutes, the inflatable was close enough to throw a lifeline to the FADM. As he grabbed the line, he could make out the faces in the small craft. It was not ADM Wallbanger as he had hoped, they were Korean. “Figures, I go through hell and all for nothing. Wish I had that rocket now” he said under his breath.

“Captain” the first officers called, “we have a problem”. “What it is” the captain replied”. The first officer, motioning to the captain to join him in the corner then explained. “Sir, the wreckage is from a small craft, not the 447 and we have only one survivor who appears to be American”. Looking surprised, the captain pulled the XO closer to the corner and whispering said “Take him to the infirmary and do not let anyone near him. I want to know his condition ASAP, and I want 2 guards posted. “NO ONE but me or you goes in, understood!”. “Yes sir, he is being taken off the rescue boat now, I will take care of it” the first officer responded as he headed out to the deck.
“Radio”, the captain barked, “inform command we did not find 447, only some wreckage of a small boat”. “Yes sir, sending now” the radio operator called.

“YOU, put him on a stretcher and get him to the infirmary NOW!” the First officer yelled to one of the crewmen. He then turned to two armed officers he had pulled from the deck and ordered “I want you both at the infirmary door, no one in or out except me and the captain, understand!”. “Yes sir” both officers responded as they joined the stretcher on its journey.

Drifting in and out of consciousness, FADM Stern forces open his eyes only to see an Asian medic looking down on him, while a large white light loomed above. Just the, the door opened and the captain walked in. Looking down at the injured FADM, the captain introduced himself, “I’m Captain Sin Yang. I must say you are a very hard person to kill”. While the FADM fought hard to stay conscious, all around him went black

‘CLICK’. ADM Wallbanger, starring at the AK-47 barrel didn’t even flinch, as the click seemed to echo through the jungle. After a second or two he realized that the click was the COL placing the safety on his weapon. “Boy, you GNSF officers really do have balls of steel” the COL laughed as he lowered his weapon. ADM Wallbanger, still being cautious, got to his feet and faced the COL eye to eye. The other GNSF members, seeing the weapon being lowered, braced themselves for an attack at the first sign from the CNO. Just then, two of the soldiers returned, one then addressed the COL “ Господин, совсем ясный к лагерю и сообщению послал ”. Turning to ADM Wallbanger, the COL then spoke. “Now, before you pull another stunt like that and hurt yourself, let me properly introduce myself, I am COL Kim Sang Chow, South Korean Militia, and we are here to get you out”. Looking a bit puzzled, ADM Wallbanger took a while to compose himself, not lowering his guard in case this was a deception. The COL then continued to explain the situation at the ADM. “ We have been monitoring this situation since we heard of the capture of GNSF members. It was one of our operatives that got us the note from your FADM, which we passed to your HQ. We are here to make sure that North Korean forces do not encroach on out soil, and I can tell you things are very tense since the breakdown in UN talks”. ADM Wallbanger realized that he must be telling the truth, as no one but the prisoners knew of the note. “OK, so what now” ADM Wallbanger asked. “Well, we have clear passage to our base. We will take you there and get you medical treatment and food” the COL replied. “Look” ADM Wallbanger yelled, grabbing the COL arm, “We cant leave, we don’t know if the FADM is still in the camp or not. We will need weapons to go in for him”. “That wont happen”, the COL replied, “Your command sent in a seal team which tried an extraction, but we think he was killed with one of the seals. Our info is a bit sketchy on this, but we do know he isn’t in the camp”. All of the GNSF officers looked to the ground, and then yelling out, VADM Clash said “He is NOT dead, and until we find him dead or alive we are NOT going to stop”. The COL, turning to the VADM replied “That is very noble, but we need more information or you will just be wasting your time and risking your neck for possibly nothing”. “I don’t give a damn about.” The VADM started, being cut off by ADM Wallbanger interjecting “HOLD, the COL is right". We need intel if we have any chance of finding the FADM”.
Turning to the COL, ADM Wallbanger continued “OK, take us to your camp get us the hell out of here. Once back at HQ we can find out what’s going on”. “Well”, the COL replied in a slightly depressed voice, “that could be a problem”. “What do you mean” ADM Wallbanger barked back, as his mood suddenly got foul. “Well, it has to do with the political situation” the COL started. “We are a small militia that is not associated with the South Korean forces. South Korea has refused to take sides on this, fearing an all out civil war with the North, one which it would loose fast. Because of this we are considered terrorist by BOTH forces. We have some contacts in both forces that oppose the way the DPRK are operating, but they are two powerful to oppose directly. We spend most of our time doing recon and small raids within North Korea.” ADM Wallbanger, now looking dejected, asks the COL “So will you able to get us extracted, we can do far more back at our HQ that we can in this god forsaken jungle”. “Well that will depend on your people, my men have already sent a message to your HQ advising them we have you. Once back at the camp you will have to send a message to them and work something out. Not sure they will believe anyone but you”, replied the COL. ADM Wallbanger nodded, and replied “OK let’s get to the camp so we can set things in motion”.

Somewhere in the Korea Bay ...

Regaining consciousness, FADM Stern could see he was on a table in a hospital room of some sort, and it appeared to be on a ship. Looking over he could see one medic looking at paperwork by a desk. As the FADM started to sit up, the medic called over “Lie down, your in no shape to move. Comply or I will restrain you”. “ Where am I and who the hell are you people” the FADM Barked. “You are a guest of the DPRK, so lie still and shut up. One more word an I will knock you out myself you scum”. The FADM, lying back down, mainly due to the pain in his gut, mumbled just loud enough so the medic could here “Well great, looks like I’m stuck back in Mr. Rogers neighborhood from hell again”. This angered the medic, who spun around and approached the table. “That’s it scum, time to learn who is in charge here”. Just then, the Captain walked into the room and yelled, “Where is the doctor”. The medic, stopped in his tracks responded “Sir, he has gone for some food and will be back in about 20 minutes”. “Very well, I need you to do something”, the Captain responded. The captain then explained to the medic what he wanted. After he had finished, the medic responded just loud enough for the FADM to hear “Sir, I hate these scum as much as you do, but that is unethical”. No sooner did the medic finish his sentence, the captain barked “DO IT, AND DO IT RIGHT OR IT’S YOUR HEAD”. “Yes sir” the medic replied cowering a bit. They then both walked over to the FADM and the captain said calmly “I am Captain Sin Yang, remember my name”. Smiling, the Captain then motioned to the medic, who then loading a syringe from a small vial he had taken from the case in the corner injected the FADM. A cold rush shot up the FADM arm as he heard the Captain again speak to him “I send you to a far better place”. Seconds later, the cold rush enveloped the FADM and all went black.
The Captain then, walking over to the medic said “Good job sir” as he picked up a scalpel from the table, grabbed the medic and slit his throat. As the medic gasped and went limp, blood gushing from his neck, the captain draped him over the FADM’s still body. “GUARDS!” the captain yelled, “Guards get in here NOW!”. As the door flew open, the two-armed guards could see the bloody body of the medic draped over the FADM, with the captain grabbing the medic and lying him on the floor. “QUICK MAN, GET THE DOCTOR” the Captain yelled as he held his hand on the medics gushing wound. Soon the doctor burst through the door, then stopping for a second as the image hit him hard. “GET OVER HERE AND HELP THIS MAN” the captain screamed. Rushing over the doctor examined the medic while the captain did his best to stop the blood flow. “I’m sorry sir, he is dead” the doctor replied. Releasing his grip on the medic, the captain then screamed in a tyrant “WHY THE HELL DID YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE!”. The doctor, remaining calm replied “Sir, the prisoner was unconscious and I went for dinner. I have know idea how he could have done this”. Looking over the doctor could see the scalpel still in the FADM’s hand. Looking very upset, the captain then yelled at the doctor, “I should kill that scum now, check him and see if you can get him conscious, I want him to see my face before I kill him”. The doctor went over to the FADM’s body and checked his vitals. “Well sir, I’m sorry but you won’t get the chance, the prisoner is dead as well”. Looking like someone had stolen his thunder, the captain then responded in a mellow manner “Now I know why the prisoner made that request of me”. Looking confused, the doctor asked “What do you mean, what request”. When he was brought onboard he asked me if he was to die, to bury him at sea. He asked me to promise him captain to captain”. The doctor, still looking a bit confused then said “So he must have had this planned from the start”. Gaining composure, the captain then said “place the prisoner in a body bag, as I will honor his request”. The doctor looking up replied “yes sir, and what about the medic”. Turning back as he walked to the door the captain replied “Put him on ice, we will take him home with us and give him a hero’s funeral”.

Somewhere in the Korea Bay ...

Walking out of the infirmary, the captain headed up to the bridge. Once there he walked to the center and ordered “COMMS, set a radio frequency to HQ and everyone off the bridge … NOW”. At that, all officers scrambled and left the bridge, shortly followed by the comms officer who had done as instructed. Now, with only the captain and first officer on the bridge, the captain turned to him and ordered “you as well sir, I have the horrible task of not only informing HQ I have allowed the prisoner to die, but that I lost a good man as well”. Understanding the nature of the situation the captain was in, the first officer nodded and left the bridge.
Now alone on the bridge, the captain walked to the comm station and sent the message to HQ. After speaking with HQ, he took note of the dial frequency and quickly changed it. He then spoke into the microphone, “This is Captain Sin Yang, do you copy”. A voice replied “We copy”. At this the captain replied “упакуйте быть упаденным в 30 минуты маркированные с орудийныйа огонь”. The response was short “понято”. The captain then set the dial back to its original position, walked to the master Mic and called all bridge officers back. The first officer who was the first back then said to the captain “I bet that wasn’t pleasant, sorry you had to do that sir. What are our orders”. The captain then responded “yea it was hard, and got harder”. “Sir?” the first officer said confused. “We are to return home as the 447 was found and is fine, and I’m am to honor the prisoner last request of being buried at sea” the captain said looking frustrated. Just then the doctor arrived and stated “The prisoner is ready sir”. Pacing back and forth, the captain replied “get a crew together and I will join you shortly”. “yes sir” replied the doctor as he left the bridge.
After pacing for a while the captain went over to the NAV station and asked the officer “what’s our current position”. The officer responded with the ship current location plus speed and direction. “Fine, carry on” the captain replied as he turned to the first office and said “lets do this thing”. As the captain and first officer reached the body bag on the deck, the captain walked up to the bag and unzipped the top. Opening the bag and revealing the FADM’s body within, the captain leaned in and seemed to whisper something, but all were to far back to hear it. The captain then zipped the bag back, got to his feat and spoke. “We cast this warrior to the sea. While he was the enemy he was a fellow seaman and as such deserves this burial at sea. May the seas be calm and the wind always at your back”. At this he motioned to the seven armed officers there, who raised their weapons and fired into the air 3 volleys as the end of the stretcher was lifted. As all stood at attention, the black bag slid from the deck and splashed into the water. After remaining at attention for a minute, the captain called “At ease, back to your stations”. As the men all went back to their tasks the first officer and captain watched at the now small black bag floated into the distance until it vanished. Night was falling and both officers walked back to the bridge, once there the captain ordered full speed to Nampo.

At the militia base somewhere in the jungle...

As the group arrived at the militia base, they were all surprised by what they saw. ADM Wallbanger turned to the COL and said “Damn man, you call this a base? I see one really crappy hut, you guys ARE really small”. At that the rest of the GNSF officer started laughing, followed by RDML Phantom commenting “Well the DPRK sure wont think this place is a threat” which sent the whole group into fits of laughter. “If your quite finished” the COL said, “Come this way”. As they entered the hut, two militia officers moved a large stove revealing a hole. As the descended into the hole they were shocked at what they saw. At the end of a small winding tunnel was a huge underground room, stocked with tables and comms equipment. As the Admirals stood speechless, the COL smiled and said “let me give you a fast tour. This is command, and down this tunnel is the barracks that hold the 1270 men we have here. Down this tunnel is the armory”. As the COL pointed to the tunnel they all followed him round several sharp bends into a huge room stocked with weapons galore. “DAMN”, ADM Wallbanger gasped, “you guys have more stuff here than most countries”. The COL laughed and said “so I guess were not, how do you say it, as Mickey Mouse as you thought”. At this the COL started laughing and turning to a militia officer said “im удивило эти ванты сделанные им это далекое живое”, at which point the officer chuckled. “OK, what’s the story here” ADM Wallbanger asked, “If you’re South Korean then why are you talking Russian?”. The COL looked up and smiled, responding “I am North Korean by birth, but I am also former Spetsnaz. Many of our group are, does that surprise you?”. “Well, actually yes it does” ADM Wallbanger responded looking a bit confused. “Well, during the Korean war, many of us were trained by the Russians. After the war many of us enlisted with the Russians, better pay and food. While we are still North Korean at heart, we know the DPRK will kill our country, and that is why we fight them.” The COL explained. He continued “Many of our former Spetsnaz comrades have also come here to help, while some other have recently come to help the DPRK. You may remember some of them from the battle they had with the Seawolves group a few years ago”. The ADM cringed at the thought of that battle, knowing they dealt a hard blow to Seawolves many years earlier, but a more devastating one while helping the Brotherhood of the Coast that virtually destroyed the Seawolves. “If your right then we are some serious trouble, and we need to get this info to GNSF Command” the ADM replied. “They have it already” the COL stated.
Just then a militia officer ran in and got the COL’s attention. “Господин, они обнаруживали местонахождение пакет и возглавляют внутри теперь” the officer said while trying to catch his breath. “Хорошо, принесите его здесь с доктором как можно скорее.” The COL responded. The COL then turned to ADM Wallbanger and said “OK, lets see if you can get a message to your people, and see if they can get you out.”

At the militia base somewhere in the jungle...

As ADM Wallbanger thought about what message he could send that would confirm his identity without giving any useful info the malita that he still didn’t trust, something came to mind. He started dictating to the radio operator, who wrote out the message as the ADM Spoke. “This is ADM Wallbanger. We are all safe except for the FADM. Being assisted by a militia..” ADM Wallbanger started, but was cut off by the COL “STOP, you can not mention us in any way over the lines. Please continue without any reference to us at all, covert is are safety.” ADM Wallbanger nodded his head and continued, “We need extraction…”
As the ADM continued dictating the message, a soldier ran up to the COL and reported “Господин, шлюпка почти здесь и они имеют пакет.”. Looking a bit anxious, the COL responded “Хорошо, получите доктора и скажите ему получите все установлено вверх КАК МОЖНО СКОРЕЕ. Теперь пойдите, быстро.” The COL then walked back to the radio operator and facing ADM Wallbanger said “You may want to come with me, I have something to so you. The rest of your men should get something to eat and rest a bit”. ADM Wallbanger nodded his head and turning to the other HQ officer said “OK, everyone take 5 and get some chow, and with any luck it isn’t rice”. All the ADM’s chuckled and headed to the mess area as ADM Wallbanger followed the COL.
After heading down a small tunnel just past the main entrance hole, the two entered a large hospital area. It was very well stocked and staffed with several medics. They were all running around in a state of almost panic under the loud directions of a man who appeared to be the doctor in charge. “ Move it people, we need to be ready NOW” the doctor barked. The COL walking up to the doctor and pointing to The ADM said “Doc, this is ADM Wallbanger, the CNO of the Global Naval Strike Force. He has had a really bad few weeks and he could use some good news for once. ADM Wallbanger, this is MAJ Hun Chang-se, he is our chief medical officer”. Both men shook hands, and the ADM turning to the COL asked “So, what is this all about”. The COL responded “Well, we may have some good news for you, but it a bit early to..” only to be interrupted by several officer running in yelling “out of the way”. As the COL and ADM moved back to the wall, a group of 4 more soldiers came in carrying a stretcher. On the Stretcher was a black body bag. As the soldiers laid the stretcher on the table, they all turned and saluted the COL as they quickly left.
“A casualty of yours” ADM Wallbanger said. “No, a casualty of yours” the COL replied. Looking over the ADM saw the doctor open the body bag to reveal the body of FADM Stern. All the medics were now in full swing removing the bag and cutting the clothing of the FADM. Looking very stunned, the ADM grabbed the COL and yelled, “If you touch him I will kill all of you”. The COL, spinning the ADM around and placing him in tight headlock yelled back “He is NOT DEAD”. At this ADM Wallbanger went totally limp. Releasing the ADM, the COL continued. Your FADM was picked up by the DPRK after making it to a small boat. It was destroyed in the typhoon and he was fished out by a DPRK cruiser”. ADM Wallbanger looked confused. The COL continued, “The Captain and doctor are members of our group, so they drugged the FADM with a compound that simulated death, then buried him at sea.” Walking over to the body bag on the floor that the medics had removed, the COL reached down and inside the bag. Standing up as he pulled a small black object from the bag, he turned to the ADM and said “This is an RF transmitter placed here by the Captain. It allowed us to zero in on the drop coordinates very fast”. The COL’s mood, now a lot more mellow continued “Please understand, there is good chance he won’t make it, especially with his wounds. This deception has a 40% death rate in healthy people and I’m not sure what the chances are with someone this badly wounded”. ADM Wallbanger was still in shock trying to take all of this in. He was overcome by a mixture of pure joy, terrible fear and sadness, along with a great deal of confusion.
“Lets go and let the doc do what he can. If we can’t get your FADM back at least we have his body for you. I’m sorry that sounds a bit callous but it’s the best we could do”. The ADM nodded his head and both men left the area heading back to the main mess area. “I know you don’t feel up to it, but join your men and EAT SOMETHING. You will need all the strength you can get for the rest of your battle,” the COL said. ADM Wallbanger, saying nothing just walked on staring into space.

Sir <S>;
We have just received a message on a non GNSF frequency that appears to be from ADM Wallbanger. The message was encripted with our old MCX-7B encription and appears to be authentic. This old code to our knowledge was not cracked but replaced for the more secure MCX-14K code. We assume the ADM used this code so that if there were problems it would not compromise our normal secure channels.
You will need to verify the authentication information, as its so obscure we believe the ADM used it to not devulge any true authentication codes. If you can confirm this then we must assume the message was indeed sent by the CNO.
Below is a copy of the translated message. No one has seen this decripted message except myself and my team. Dispearsment is at your descretion.

At the militia base somewhere in the jungle...

Sitting in the mess hall, ADM Wallbanger looks down at the half-eaten meal contemplating what has happened and what will be. “Sir, OK what wrong” RADM Fish said noticing the ADM's glum look. “OK guys, here what’s going on. The Militia just brought in FADM Stern but don’t know if he will make it”. “WHAT” shouted RDML Phantom as all the others stood up. “Hold on, let me explain the whole thing” ADM Wallbanger interjected. As the ADM explained the events leading up the FADM’s retrieval along with all he had gone through since the camp, the COL walked in looking very sad. Seeing the look on his face, the ADM’s all went quiet fearing the worse. The COL then spoke, “Your FADM is awake and looks like he will be fine” breaking out into a grin as he finished the sentence. “YES!” VADM Clash yelled as he stood up with the others. “Can we see him” RDML Phantom called out. “Yes, but first I have a response to your message to your command” the COL replied. Handing the note to ADM Wallbanger, all the others gathered in close so they too could read it.

After all had read the message, they looked at each other and broke out laughing, all except ADM Wallbanger, who mumbled “I knew that little %@%@ would bust in 10 seconds after I left the office". Hearing this, all the ADM’s looked at the CNO and bust out in a huge laughing fit. ADM Wallbanger, trying to keep a straight face also let out a laugh, then quickly composed himself. “OK, lets go see the boss” ADM Wallbanger said .

As they followed the COL through the tunnels, they came to the infemary and saw the FADM sitting up in bed drinking. Seeing them enter, the FADM turned to the CNO and said “Desk work, never again, to hazardous, I want back in a sub where its safe”. At this they all broke out laughing, except ADM Wallbanger who while smiling looked troubled. Seeing this the FADM said “OK WB, what up”. “Its nothing” the ADM replied. The smile on the FADM’s face faded and became very serious, “gee, I figured seeing me still kicking would get a bigger reaction than that WB, I know you and I know something is bugging you, out with it NOW”, the FADM barked. “I’m sorry sir, it’s just that it seems Spellfire and Beerdawg broke into the liquor cabinet again.” The ADM started, then realizing how dumb it sounded, stopped. The FADM looking very serious glared at the CNO then burst into a huge laughing fit, broken only by a few “owww’s” as pain shot through his gut. ADM Wallbanger, trying hard to be serious, broke into laughter with the rest. “OK, I see, I have to rip my gut stitches out to get a laugh out of you” the FADM joked, trying to stop the laughing that was causing him shooting pains.
After a moment, the group composed itself. Turning to the COL, the FADM asked, “What does the name Captain Sin Yang mean to you, he was adimint about me remembering it”. “He was the captain of the boat that picked you up, and the one that got you to us. He is a fellow former Spetsnaz comrade”, The COL replied. “OK, now your FADM needs some rest before you all leave, so lets leave him” the COL added. “Wait, I need to be filled in on what’s going on, I’m fine and need out of this bed” the FADM complained. “NO, you stay put and rest. There is nothing of importance that can not keep until tomorrow. Don’t make me have the doc medicate you,” the COL warned. “OK, you heard the man, everyone out and let the FADM get some rest. Better yet, all of you get some rest, tomorrow will be a big day” ADM Wallbanger ordered. “OK, just get back here in the morning and brief me WB” the FADM said. “Shall do boss, ok, lets go, I need to think of what I’m going to do to Spellfire when we get back” ADM Wallbanger said as he followed the group down the hall.

July 9th 2007 WAR UPDATE

Although we were under the impresssion that the DPRK had ordered a cease fire and called back all their troups, it seems that again, we were decieved by their disinformation tactics. A GNSF SEAL TEAM was ambushed and destroyed while on a routine patrol near the recent battle zone.

The DPRK, as usual, denies any participation in this latest attack. VADM Paul did not comment on the latest encounter, but a few minutes after he recieved news, RDML Sparks was seen exiting the VADM's office with a stone face and he slammed the door of his own office. Soon after, Commanders Spellfire and Swordfish were summoned to RDML Sparks office for a top secret urgent meeting. This, I am affraid, can only mean another escalation in this conflict.

Mean time, in the DPRK itself, the situation is very caotic following the coup by the military to take over the gouverment. It is very hard to make anything of whatever bits of news that filter out of the country at this time.

At the militia base somewhere in the jungle...

As ADM Wallbanger awoke, he looked over and saw all the other ADM’s still asleep. Checking his watch he saw it was 0630 although being underground the light levels remained constant. Getting up, he headed down the tunnels for the infirmary wondering if the FADM would ream his butt for waking him early. As he came round the corner and into the infirmary, he saw the FADM out of bed and sitting at a desk going over paperwork. “I don’t believe it, your awake” ADM Wallbanger said sarcastically. The FADM turned and smiling said “Well sure, I was dead for a few days so I’m good to go”. Both officer chuckled a bit, then the CNO asked “So, how are you feeling”. “Not bad at all, now let’s go over all this stuff” the FADM replied.
ADM Wallbanger detailed all that had happened since their successful escape from the camp. The FADM then detailed his joy ride in the boat and what other fuzzy details he remembered. As they both looked at news clipping and coms intercepted by the malitia, the COL walked in with his radio operator. “Good morning gentlemen, I hope your ready for the continuation of your adventure, your team is standing by for final pick up instructions” the COL said moving to the coffee machine on a near by desk. “Good morning COL, and thank you for all you have done, and can I get a really big cup of that” the FADM responded. The COL started to laugh “Well the doc say you shouldn’t have coffee, but I’m sure it wont kill you after all you have lived through” he chuckled. ADM Wallbanger, reaching into his pocket took out a note and handed it to the radio operator, saying “Here is the response, made it up last night.” The radio operator took the note, then as the COL nodded to him, turned and left the infermary. As the COL brought a huge mug of coffee to the FADM, he looked at both officers and said, “I think we have a big problem. There are some things that have transpired that don’t look good”. “Please, fill us in, maybe we can help” the FADM replied. The COL then started to explain. “It seems the military has seized control of the defense department HQ in P'YÖNGYAN, and killed the Chairman and all of the staff. The coup was orchestrated by Admiral Kim Jung iL, who was the one that gave me this. Lifting his shirt the COL revealed scars of about 20 bullet wounds, then continued “he laughed as he blasted me with a machine gun”. Pausing to drink some coffee, the COL continued. “Also, they have ordered an operation called ‘flaming spike’. We thought it was the code name for the nuclear shipment but I don’t think it is. This operation has now been stepped up to phase 2. I think they have something else planned, as things that seemed so well orchestrated now look fragmented and chaotic.” The COL finished. “This does sound fishy to me. I have looked at the reports you have that the Kilo carrying Plutonium was escorted by 3 subs, but one left the OP area to the east. It also says the Kilo turned west during the attack. Is this right?” the FADM asked “Yes, that true, but I’m sure the Kilo had no stomach for taking on 4 Seawolf subs” the COL chuckled. Just then, an officer ran in and handed a note to the COL, then left. “No, I get the Kilo part, what I don’t get is this. It says here that 4 days ago, the DPRK engaged the GNSF who were tracking a Kilo, then after the battle they headed east.” The FADM continued. “Yes, they did a practice run with an empty Kilo to see what the GNSF would do. Sounds normal to me” the COL replied. Looking at the COL who just finished reading the note, the FADM Stated “No sir, it doesn’t seem normal at all. Why didn’t the subs stay put for the real thing, instead of leaving the area, letting the REAL Kilo be escorted by only 3, one of which left the area before battle? If they wanted to smuggle that cargo in, they would have sent all there subs to protect it”, the FADM said looking worried.
Looking at the FADM with a very worried look on his face, the COL replied shaking the note “I believe I have your answer. Seems the Chinese contacted the DPRK and told them that due to US and UN pressure they wanted to terminate the plutonium deal. Seems that the DPRK Kilo then headed west, met the Chinese task force, had the crew picked up by another Kilo, then turned the whole Kilo over to the Chinese”.
The FADM stood up, mumbling some old sailor expletives not normally repeated in public, then looking at ADM Wallbanger stated “Damn, we’ve been had. They never did plan on getting the plutonium, it was all a big deception for something much bigger, and we better figure out what it is, and fast”.

July 9th 2007 SPECIALWAR LATE FLASH EDITION

This report has just come in. It seems that all the chaos in P'yongyan has gone silent. It seems after some negotiation between the North Korean Government and the leader of the DPRK forces, Admiral Kim Jung Il, the forces have been moved out of P'yongyan. Unconfirmed reports state that the DPRK forces agreed to vacate the compound in return for free passage to an undisclosed location on the north border with China.

In a related report, China has announced that the alleged shipment of Plutonium to the DPRK forces is completely false. China has asked UN representatives to inspect all of the Chinese facilities and verify all materials are still present. This was a complete surprise to all, as China has never allowed UN inspectors access to any of its sensitive area’s. The UN today commented that China’s offer for inspection is a strong indication that the alleged shipment in fact never took place. The Global Naval Strike Force has not commented on this situation. We will keep you up to date as any new developments come in.

A beach on the Shore north of Nampo...

ADM Wallbanger watched as a small craft came in towards the shore, occasionally watching the FADM who was pacing with the look of someone very troubled. As the small craft came ashore, four Seals got out and secured the craft. As they moved up from the shore, ADM Wallbanger called “At ease, the beach has been secured and our flank is covered”. At that, the Seals dropped from an attack posture to a walk over to the group. “It really great to see you’re all ok sir’s” LT Chavez stated. “Well we are not home free yet” ADM Wallbanger responded. Looking at the Seals ADM Wallbanger could see that LTJG Hans and ENS Manny were heading up with CDR Alpha. “CDR Alpha, LTJG Hans, ENS Manny, LT Chavez. Good to see you” the FADM called out. “Glad your OK FADM” CDR Alpha responded. “CDR Alpha. Where are CDR Spellfire and LT Beerdawg” ADM Wallbanger asked. “Sir, they are both in the infirmary back at HQ SIR” the CDR responded. ADM Wallbanger looked at the CDR for a moment, then said “Well its good they sent you, I have some matters to discuss with those two” ADM Wallbanger half mumbled. “Aye sir, the Liquor cabinet sir” CDR Alpha blurted out. ADM Wallbanger’s face went red and his mood seemed to grow very foul. “Does EVERYONE know about this?” The ADM snapped back. “Aye sir, pretty much sir. Seems they were stoked about the battle. CDR Spellfire said they needed some victory supplies before they went in Sir”. The ADM mood didn’t get any happier as his blood seemed to boil and his face went 2 shades redder. Seeing that his info had set the ADM from ‘plain glum’ to ‘about to blow a blood vessel’ the CDR tried to fix it by saying “Sir, no worries sir, we replaced the bottle and added two more”. Well this didn’t help the situation, and just as the ADM was about to blow, the FADM spoke up “WB”. ADM Wallbanger turned around and with his mood still foul looked at the FADM who continued; “You have to let this liquor cabinet thing go sir, for two very important reasons”. Still teetering on the brink of meltdown, the ADM barked back “And what would those be sir”. The FADM’s face grew hard and serious as he responded “ONE, it’s a trivial matter considering the scope of crap we are all in right now”. As the FADM spoke the ADM’s anger dropped away as he realized he had let this thing get under his skin way too much”. As he calmed down, a question just popped into his mind as he watched the FADM starring back stone faced and silent. “Your right sir, but what’s the second reason” the ADM asked, which had the whole group watching intensely. After the words were out the ADM realized that one reason was far more than adequate, and asking for the second was probably not a smart idea. With his face growing angrier, the FADM replied “and TWO”, he paused for what seemed like eternity, “ I gave Spellfire the key”. As the ADM chin started to drop, the FADM broke into fits of laughter, which had everyone laughing. ADM Wallbanger, now smiling, replied “You GAVE him the key?”. The FADM, composing himself said “YEP, and I instructed him to bust in” With everyone laughing, the FADM continued. “I thought we would get back to HQ from that dumb UN meeting, and then I would get to see you go nuts”. ADM Wallbanger, now grinning, responded “Why”; at which point the FADM jumped in with “Remember the training mission we were on, remember shooting someone in the barn”. At this the ADM started laughing, as he still laughs every time he thinks about it. “OK, I guess were even now” the ADM chuckled.
“OK, lets saddle up and get the hell out of here” the FADM ordered. As all piled into the inflatable, the FADM went up and shook the COL hand saying “SIR, you have made a friend today. I will not forget this”. The COL smiled and replied “I’m glad sir, just hope it works out better than it did with Admiral Jung”. At this the FADM, half in the boat turned to the COL “What do you mean?” he asked. “Well, that’s the same thing Kim Jung iL said to me when we served together. We were fellow Spetsnaz officers, and were a great team until he hooked up with that no good KGB scum”, the COL answered. “That’s too bad sir, but I stand by my word. So, anything of importance you can tell me about this Jung character?” the FADM asked, now in the boat and finally sitting. “He is one of the best and nastiest to come out of the Russian special training. Him and me would spearhead almost every mission, and we had an unblemished success rate, at least until Laffite came along”. “HOLD!! The FADM screamed, causing ENS Manny to loose footing and fall out of the boat. “LAFFITE?” the FADM yelled back. “Yes, his real name was Ivan something, can’t remember. He was fascinated with the pirate Jean Laffite and so that’s what we all had to call him.” Before the COL could continue, the FADM yelled again “Laffite of the Brotherhood of the Coast”. Looking shocked, the COL replied “Yes. Jung was instrumental in getting Laffite the manpower he needed. After that I never saw Jung again until he popped up here”. The FADM, looking not too happy yelled, “OK, SHOVE OFF. COL, thank you for everything”. As the Seals cast off the inflatable, all the ADM’s looked at each other and then the FADM. All was quiet until VADM Clash blurted out “boy we are in a @$^@$^ of trouble now”. Looking over at ADM Wallbanger the FADM said in a stern calm voice “They may have killed the Seawolves but I will be damned if they will do it to us”.

As all the Admirals sat in the mess having a well-deserved meal, they discussed all the things they were going to do when they got home. The FADM and ADM Wallbanger sat at a table going over documents. “You really think this is all a set up, and they are planning something bigger”. ADM Wallbanger asked. “Yes, I’m sure of it. None of this fits. They basically provoke a war with us, Kidnap our whole HQ, and for what? I was never interrogated about anything; they wanted to know nothing. They plan this whole Plutonium convoy, then when asked by the Chinese, who they hate, they then say ‘OK, here is your stuff back, and keep the sub’. No, I don’t buy it. Now we have missing DPRK subs, a nutcase Admiral that takes over the Defense complex and kills all the council members, then leaves. This is all smoke screen for something really big.” The FADM finished looking puzzled and going over the same papers over and over. ADM Wallbanger waited a bit, then said “You know, maybe they just got in too deep and didn’t have the stomach for a battle with us, after all we sent a ton of firepower in, which would make even the Chinese cringe”. “No, when I heard that nutcase Laffite was involved I knew there was something else going on.” replied the FADM, then like a light switch being flipped he froze. ADM WB saw that look only once before, and he knew something was really bad. “Tons of Firepower” the FADM stated. “That’s it, tons of firepower” he repeated. Feeling totally lost, ADM Wallbanger asked, “What is it”, knowing that something had click in the FADM Brain. “What have the DPRK actually accomplished in this conflict as end goals” the FADM asked. Looking puzzled, ADM Wallbanger responded “Well from all the reports I have read, basically nothing”. The FADM, looking up from the papers said “No, not nothing, only one thing really. We sent tons of firepower”. ADM Wallbanger pondered a moment and then it hit him like a falling piano. He stood straight up and replied “We sent over ¾ of our forces to the Korean theatre….. They wouldn’t?”. Looking back down at that intel stack, the FADM quietly responded “Yea, I think they would”.

Mr. Secretary General.

Speaking on behalf of the DPRK forces that started this conflict, I wish to inform you that we have terminated all hostilities and have returned to China the Plutonium we had. We will be destroying the weapons factory we constructed as well as any weapons and hardware. Because our actions were of great detriment to our great country we did execute those in charge that condoned the terrible action we had taken. Since we are all now shamed and not willing to rot in prison, all ground troops will be terminated in the weapons factory. Also, all naval platforms have been ordered to scuttle with all hands aboard. We do this to try to find some peace in the next life after our atrocities in this.

July 11th 2007 BREAKING NEWS FLASH

A huge explosion near Nampo, North Korea, shattered the early morning calm. Reports from eye witnesses in a small village next to the top secret military plant reported seeing a large number of troups enter the complex moments before a huge explosion. Witnesses say several smaller explosions followed the large one, which had some villagers taken to hospital. Most of the injured are being treated for hearing problems due to the power of the explosion, while one older man was knocked unconcious. No reports yet of any survivous from the troups stationed at the facility. This comes right after the appointment of a new DPRK Chairman of defense and council, which was implemented after the violent assasination of the former Chairman and cabinet. When asked, Mr. Tien Sou-Chow, the new Chairman of Defense stated “Our country has been though a lot, and now its time to clean up and move forward. We would also like to thank the UN nations for all there help in this troubling time.”

In a related story, there are rumors of the DPRK forces surrendering to the GNSF, but the GNSF has not yet commented on this. While the GNSF pressence in the area is extreamly strong, no reports of new outbrakes have come in.

GNSF HQ Infirmary, Vancouver

As LT Beerdawg sat in the bed, dying to get back to action, the doctor came in and said. “Good morning LT, CDR, I have a few tests I have to run on the two of you”. The LT looked over to CDR Spellfire in the bed next to him and said “More stupid tests, I am really getting tired of being prodded and poked”. CDR Spellfire, who was reading the latest reports on the last ground battle with the DPRK looked up and asked the doctor “Why more tests, you said we were OK yesterday, and that we could get back to our unit today”. The doctor responded “The CNO ordered some tests on both of you for possible parasitic infection, so I must be thorough before I can release you”. CDR Spellfire shook his head and mumbled “I guess this is payback for the booze”.
Just then two huge men walked in wearing medical scrubs, both bigger than even the nastiest Seals either had ever seen. Looking the doctor, the CDR asked “WOW, don’t tell me those two are doctors”. “No”, the doctor replied, “Those are the nurses that will perform the tests”. As the doctor turned away the CDR was sure he saw the doctor sprout a grin, and also thought one of the nurses looked very familiar. “OK, CDR we will start with you, please roll over”. As the CDR complied the two nurses wheeled a cart over to the CDR’s bed, and produced a really scary looking apparatus that looked like a drain snake. “Damn doc”, the CDR said, “That looks like a pipe inspection camera, what the hell do you think your going to do with that”. As one of the very robust nurses held the CDR down with all the weight of a small transport truck, the second started the inspection. “OWWWW….. When I get loose I’m going to kill you both” the CDR yelled in rage, and undoubtedly pain. “HOLD STILL CDR, you will just make it more uncomfortable if you squirm”. Just then, the large nurse holding down the CDR added “Do as the doc says and SUCK IT UP SOLDIER”. It was then the CDR Realized who the officer was.

Seeing this LT Beerdawg pondered his fate, for about 5 seconds, then leaping out of the bed and backing up to the infirmary door, yelled to the doctor “There is absolutely NO WAY your shoving that thing in me, you will have to kill me first”. As the LT continued to back up to the door he saw that both nurses had shot him an evil grin. Knowing that even if they were big, he could take them if he had to, and he REALLY had to. As the CDR let loose a few more groans, the LT decided a 5 mile sprint would be a far better feeling than this. Pointing to the doctor he said “sorry doc, but this is just NOT going to happen”, as he turned and flanked out the door, he felt the sensation of a very large brick wall and what seemed to be a 9G force dead stop. Looking up he saw 4 very large and armed officers. As he shook the daze feeling from his head he realized that these were not just soldiers, but ADM Wallbangers personal guard. Not only were they as big as the two nurses, but they were the best trained special ops officers on the planet. “Trust me LT, you really don’t want to make us help you back into bed” one of the officers said with a look that would scare the dead.
After 5 more seconds of pondering how bad his life was at this moment, he decided to take it like a man. Holding his head high and looking the officer right in the face he yelled “IT WAS SPELLFIRE, HE MADE ME DO IT!” At this, two of the officers each took one of the LT’s arms and lifting right off the floor carried him, then placed him in his bed. “OK CDR, were done and happy to report your clean and healthy. Now that wasn’t so bad really” the doctor said, then looking over to the LT he continued “OK LT, its you turn, and try not to be a baby, you're a GNSF officer”. At that the nurses pushed the cart over to the LT’s bed, then one looking up at the armed officers said “I don’t think we will be needing any help, the LT is a tough soldier. See you guys at training tonight”. At that the 4 officers walked out the door with one replying “Rgr that, we will be just outside.

As the four large officers stepped outside and closed the infirmary door, VADM Paul came around the corner and seeing the officers standing there asked, “What’s up”. “It the exam for CDR Spellfire and LT Beerdawg Sir” one of the officer replied as they all saluted. “Ah, ok, carry on” the VADM said as he walked away. Just then screaming could be heard coming from the infirmary, and as the VADM kept walking he mumbled to himself “Boy, its good to be DCNO, life is good”.

As the ADM’s now all got settled in the tight and confining submarine, the FADM and CNO walked to the radio room. “Any data yet” the FADM asked the operator. Turning and seeing the two, the operator jumped to his feet and saluted “SIR”S, yes sir, its not much, but I have a communiqué here sir; and very glad you are all ok”. “At ease sir, and thank you” the CNO replied. At that the operator passed the message to the FADM. Looking over the FADM Shoulder, ADM Wallbanger also read the note. The note contained a report that the Japanese Navy had been placed on high alert and scrambled planes and ships to the East Coast off of Tokyo. After some maneuvers the status was returned to normal and the ships returned to port. After reading the note, the CNO commented “That doesn’t tell us a lot”. Looking at ADM Wallbanger with a smile the FADM responded “It sure does. They scrambled because they picked up something out there, probably on their SOSUS. I think we just located all the missing DPRK subs”.
After pondering the situation for a minute, the FADM turned to the radio operator and ordered “Get me a com link with the Japanese Naval HQ”. Looking puzzled, the radio operator turned the dials and attempted to make contact. After a while a voice came over the radio “State your identity and purpose for transmitting on this frequency”. At that the FADM took the mic and responded “This is Fleet Admiral Stern of the Global Naval Strike Force, I would like to speak to Admiral Sakimoto please, its concerning a very important matter”.
After what seemed like 20 minutes of dead silence from the radio, a voice responded “This is Admiral Sakimoto, its good to hear your voice Fleet Admiral Stern, we had reports you were dead. So what can I do for you”. “Well thank you for your kind word sir, and we could really use your help. We have a report that you scrambled forces to the east of Tokyo. Could you tell me if it was due to an incursion or simply a maneuver” the FADM replied. After a moment, the Admiral responded “We picked up some contacts and went to check it out.” After a few seconds, he continued “Admiral Stern, were they your vessels “. “No sir, we believe they may be a group of missing DPRK vessels, and were hoping you could confirm this”, the FADM explained. After about 5 minutes, the Japanese Admiral again spoke “You know officially we will not get involved in your conflicts, but I will tell you that one signature was positively identified as an Akula. As for who we will not speculate.” As a smile came to the FADM face, he replied “Thank you very much sir, you have been of great help”. “Have a safe journey home” was all that came from the radio as the connection was terminated and only static filled the speakers. “Get me secure coms with the other vessels” the FADM ordered. The operator again changing the dials around then responded “Sir, I have EAM channel set, waiting for message” “WB, send an EAM to all vessels to make home port at best speed”. As he started leaving the radio room, the FADM, grabbing the CNO’s arm instructed “when its done get all the ADM’s together, we have a huge problem and need to prepare”. At this, ADM Wallbanger nodded and the FADM headed for the control room.
As the FADM reached the control room, LCDR Nexus called “ATTENTION ON DECK, the boat is yours sir”. “Thank you sir, and thanks for bringing my boat and getting it here safe” the FADM replied. “CON, set best speed to home port. LCDR, I want you to coordinate our trip home, I want half the boats at flank and half watching, then alternate. Report any contacts to me ASAP”. “Aye sir” the LCDR responded. As the FADM started heading out to find the other Admirals, he ordered “LCDR, you have the boat. You got it here in one piece, now get us home the same”. As the LCDR smiled he replied “Aye sir, consider it done”.

Somewhere in the Pacific

Walking through the tight hallways of the submarine, Admiral Kim Jung iL finally reached the control room. Standing there was a talk figure wearing a hat that would be better suited in a Naval museum. “Damn Laffite, do you have to wear that stupid pirate hat all the time” the Admiral complained. Turning around and looking not to happy, Laffite responded “Well, no, I do take it off for special occasions, like shooting smart asses out a torpedo tube” Laffite replied. At this the Admiral chuckled, while feeling that he probably wasn’t joking. “Oh, by the way, I have a present for you” Laffite chuckled as he handed a hat to the Admiral. “Whats this, it doesn’t look pirate” the Admiral replied trying to figure out what the thing was. “It’s a took, since we are technically in Canada you should do as the Canadians do so to speak” Laffite said as he broke into a pirate type laugh that really got on the Admirals nerves. “Canada?” the Admiral yelled, walking over to look at the chart. “Damn Laffite, we are almost into their territorial waters, why are we taking this detour from our planned course”, the Admiral yelled growing more and more angry. “HEY, don’t get your panties in a twist, we will make our destination, but first I just have to say hi to an old friend”. Growing madder by the minute, the Admiral walked closer to Laffite, and knowing this was his boat and crew said quietly “You are putting all we worked for at risk, and over what, a vendetta?”. “No, I wouldn’t be that stupid”, Laffite replied, “We are heading to a location we need kept secret, but we are in the biggest SOSUS grid on the planet. Our ships need time and a distraction to get there both safe and undetected. I plan on being the distraction. Now, if you don’t have the stomach for it I can put you off onto one of the other ships”. Considering Laffite's words, the Admiral realized he was right. “OK, so what’s the plan” the ADM asked. “Well, its simple, first we whack the SOSUS grid, then we make our destination”. Laffite responded smiling. “WHAT, you cant just wipe out a SOSUS grid, they will see you 100 miles away” the admiral said now questioning his faith in this pirate throwback. “OK, let me explain “ Laffite started, “When this whole War thing started, we sent 8 cargo ships from Korea to Alaska. They contained 200 Spetsnaz officers all trained in underwater demolition. We used intel we gathered from a War many years ago with the Seawolves, plus some interrogated data of a few US military people to get the basic layout of the SOSUS net, complete with coordinates I may add” Not believing his ears the Admiral smiling replied “are you serious”. Smiling, Laffite continued, “The war was a big diversion to allow the cargo ships to transit over the sensor locations and drop divers. They would find and destroy the sensors, then be recovered by a trailing ship. Right now we have disabled most of it from about Mexico to Alaska. Reports say they need 3 more days to clear the path.”. Looking at Laffite and smiling, the Admiral responded “You may have an ugly hat but boy you are a genius” as he broke out into laughter. As both chuckled for a while, Laffite commented “So, you want to see what I planned for a distraction, its already begun” At this, his face gleaming, the Admiral replied “Absolutely”.

GNSF HQ, Vancouver

After his embarrassing procedure was completed, the doctor said to LT BeerDawg, “Well sir, good news, your clean and set for duty as well. Now both you and the CDR get out of here and report for duty”. As both officers walked VERY slowly out of the infirmary, they caught the eye of the four guards still standing outside. Noticing the grins on the guard’s faces, LT Beerdawg asked to speak to the head officer from ADM Wallbangers personal guard contingent. “Well sir, that would be LTC Dawson, and he should be here any minute” one officer replied. Looking at the LT, CDR Spellfire figured what the hell let the LT complain about the injustice of the situation. At that moment, two officers walked out of the infirmary, the same two nurses but now in full uniform. As they exited the room, one of the officers outside said “LTC Dawson sir, the LT would like to speak to you”. Looking closer, the LT was horrified to see that the LTC was the nurse who so skillfully wielded the evil endiscope. “LT, what else can I do for you” the LTC replied forcing the other officer to work had to keep from bursting out laughing. "Oh, and CDR Spellfire, thanks again for the training, and now I have medic training under my belt" the LTC said with a grin. At that time the LT interjected, "Sir, I have a message I would like you to deliver to ADM Wallbanger. Please tell him I am glad he and the other members of HQ are alive. I am sorry for the liquor but I was only following orders sir". Not believing the misfortune of being violated by someone he now remembers taking through advanced training, CDR Spellfire piped up and said, "Stand down LT!". The guard then glaired at the CDR and instructed him to hold and let the LT finish. "CDR Spellfire said that FADM Stern had told us to remove the liquor from the cabinet and to replace it with water, which we were going to do, But we were called to leave immediately to check out a farm in North Korea. During the fight we lost the bottles and both of us were injured." The guard looked to LT BeerDawg and then CDR Spellfire and asked the CDR, "Is this true sir?" Trying to control his anger at the LT speaking out, CDR Spellfire answered, "Yes sir it is Sir". Looking at the other officers, the LTC responded “Very well LT, I will relay the message to the ADM as soon as I can". After the group of special ops officers left CDR Spellfire tore into LT BeerDawg about opening his mouth. Still not happy with the whole situation, LT BeerDawg responded with, "Sir, thanks to you I had that huge oil rig shoved up my ass, which was not idea of a fun time. Feeling screwed over, the CDR mumbled “I will get you back… soon". "SIR, I was trying to get the ADM to see that we were not at fault, and that in fact it was FADM Stern that was behind this. I just hope that I don’t receive a Court Martial for breaking into the ADM office." CDR Spellfire laughed and said, "LT I had a key, therefore we did not break in. And when we get back to base, you will be cleaning toilets for a week."
After a while of slow walking, both officers finally made it back to the barracks. Waiting there was the LTC, who upon seeing them, walked up to both of them and said “I have spoken to ADM Wallbanger and he is on this secure line with a message for both of you”. At this point the LTC passed the radio to the CDR who keyed the mic and said “ADM Wallbanger sir, CDR Spellfire here”. “Ah, hello Commander, is the LT with you” the voice asked. “Yes sir, and we are both glad you and the other Admirals are OK” the CDR replied. The voice then continued, “Sirs, I have been informed of the situation by the LTC. Neither one of you needs to worry about a CM as the FADM had already explained the whole story to me. The exam was nothing more than payback…. errr I mean a safeguard against parasites. To show there are no hard feelings I have instructed the LTC to pick up a peace offering for each of you, along with a message. I should be back in HQ soon. This is ADM Wallbanger out”. The LTC then took the radio off of the CDR and handed each officer a small wrapped package. He then said reading from anote he held, “CDR Spellfire, for your almost bravery in the face of hardship even after ratting out the FADM, I give this tube of Preparation H to help ease your suffering. LT, for your restrained bravery in the face of my security officers, and in ratting out both the FADM and the CDR I give you this tube of K-Y Jelly, as you will probably need it if I know Spellfire.” At this the LTC walked away leaving both with dumbfounded looks on their faces. As he walked on, the LTC turned back and said “Sir’s, you probably don’t want to tilt at any more really big windmills for a while”. Both officers looked at each other and without saying a word walked into the barracks.

Aboard the USS Shark

As the FADM tried to get some sleep, and having little luck with it, ADM Wallbanger burst in and yelled “You were right, commando’s just attacked the GNSF Airbase in Vancouver, but no details yet ”. Sitting up, the FADM replied “It’s started. Tell them to get us details on the attack ASAP and contact HQ and see what they have on SOSUS, we should be able to locate the whole group. ADM Wallbanger nodded and left the room. Getting up, the FADM grabbed a coffee and headed for command. Once he reached command he asked LCDR Nexus “Sir, what’s our current location” The LCDR hearing the FADM called “ATTENTION ON DECK” and then heading over to the chart board continued “We are here sir” pointing to an area close to the Washington US border. “Perfect” the FADM replied. Just then ADM Wallbanger came in and reported “Sir, something is really messed up here”. Looking over, the FADM responded “Please explain”. ADM Wallbanger, taking a deep breath started to explain “Well sir, HQ is asking where we are and are getting worried”. Looking totally confused, the FADM barked “Are they stupid? DAMN the speed we're moving at we should be lighting up their SOSUS screen. Get someone on the blower and find out what idiot is monitoring the net”. At that the ADM turned and made best speed to the radio room, while the FADM looking less that jovial, started pacing back and forth with a pace that was stressing the subs bulkheads. Soon ADM Wallbanger returned with a portable handset, and handed it the FADM reporting “I have HQ on the line”. “Thank you sir” the FADM replied. “This is FADM Stern, who am I talking to” he said in a loud annoyed voice. “Hello sir, this is CDR Wilkenson” the voice replied. “CDR, what the #%&@ is going on there, are all your people asleep? We are fanking 12 subs out of 18 and currently off the coast of Washington, and YOU CANT SEE US!!!” the FADM screamed. “After a couple of silent seconds, the voice replied “Sir, I’m looking at the screen right now and the only thing we have is a faint contact in the area you are supposed to be in, but its being picked up by unit 118 that’s 145 miles out from the coast, and nothing on the closer ones so it must be a glitch”. The FADM paused and went into silent thought, then he turned to the LCDR and ordered “Get us up to periscope depth and get a GPS fix on our exact location”. Just then the voice over the radio came “Sir, are you still there”. "Aye sir, just getting a GPS fix for you, then you can see exactly were we are and maybe then your people can find us ON THE SCREEN” the FADM replied getting more agitated by the second. After a few moments the radio operator called out “Sir, I have an exact GPS location of our sub”. “Thank you sir, transmit the location and our speed and heading to HQ, and if they still cant find us give them some lessons in SOSUS screen reading 101” the FADM replied, sounding like he has reached the breaking point. As he paced a bit, he turned to ADM Wallbanger and shook his head saying “I don’t believe this, we are probably going to be attacked and our people cant operate the #!#%!#$ equipment”. The FADM was furious and loud enough that the officers in HQ on the other end of the portable handset could clearly hear him. ADM Wallbanger walking over to the FADM stretched out his hand and the FADM handed him the handset. As the ADM spoke to the officer on the other end at about 95 dB, the FADM continued pacing. At that moment, an ENS ran in and yelled “FADM Sir, sorry to interrupt, but we have some info on the Air Base attack.” Spinning around, the FADM ordered “Give me all the details sir”. The ENS responded “Sir, a covert ops team entered the base and tried to take the tower, CDR Spellfire and his team killed four of them and held the tower, but after sweeping the base they found demo charges set on some air assets. The base has been locked down and all traffic grounded until they can do a fine sweep of the whole complex” . The FADM, listening hard to hear over the ADM’s yelling, replied “Thank you sir, go send them a message to sweep it ASAP, we need Air assets and we need them NOW”. All of a sudden the ADM’s yelling stopped and his expression changed. Instantly, hearing silence, the FADM spun around and asked “OK, what’s up”. The ADM replied “while I was explaining to CDR Wilkenson how impressed I was at his crews abilities, one of the operators reported something”. After about 5 seconds of silence, the FADM yelled “DAMN MAN, WHAT!”. Taking an extra few seconds just to let the FADM know he wasn’t exceptionally happy with the query tone, the ADM responded “They were tracking a vessel off the coast of upper BC when the closest SOSUS sensor lost it”. The FADM’s face went blank and his head dropped. Turning to ADM Wallbanger he ordered “get in touch with HQ, put them on full alert and let them know they have a sub convoy that’s probably close and ready to attack. Also, let them know that the DPRK has probably found a way to kill the SOSUS grid so it’s probably useless. Have them mark and track EVERYTHING”. The ADM nodded and passed the info to HQ as the FADM walked over to LCDR Nexus. “Sir, contact the other subs and have them break off into 4 groups. I want LCDR Newt-icop, LCDR Micksp, LT Mcfester, and LCDR Pavd to take control of one group each and start hunting for any enemy subs, we will head to HQ and work from there.”. The LCDR Responded “Aye sir” and went about making the arrangements with the other subs. The FADM then walked to ADM Wallbanger and said “You know that Admiral Kim Jung has done us 10 times worse than you had both Spellfire and Beerdawg done”. ADM Wallbanger thought for a moment and replied “Yea, and I bet we don’t even get any cream”.

Off the Coast of BC

As the waves broke over the sub that sat in the choppy dark waters, the crew was running around in a state of almost panic. “ QUICK, Get them inside and be careful.” The Watch Officer yelled to the crew, who were working hard against the waves to get their combat team out of the raft and back in the boat. “Careful you fool, the Admiral is hurt bad, get him to the infirmary” the WO yelled. Quickly but carefully, Admiral Kim Jung iL was lowered down the hatch and placed onto a stretcher bound for the infirmary. As they quickly made it down the hall and placed the ADM on a table, Laffite ran in and up to the ADM. Looking down he commented “Damn Kim, you look like crap. I told you not to go, but no, you had to get in there”. The Admiral, looking up through a monocular hazy ring was searching for just the right expletive to yell, when Laffite grabbed the doctor and asked “How bad is it doc”. The doctor replied “He has grenade fragments all over the place, but I wont know until you get out of my way and let me treat him”. At that Laffite backed up and called out to the ADM “So, I guess your mission failed”. The ADM, pushing the doc aside so he could see Laffite replied “Not at all, we got charges all over the place, so that airport will be useless for a while.” Laffite smiled, then turned to the doctor and said “Do a good job fixing up the Admiral doc, because if he doesn’t make it you will wish you had died instead”, casting a look that would make the devil run. The doctor looked at Laffite, then went full steam ahead working on the ADM. Laffite, knowing his point was clearly made, left for the Control Room

As Laffite reached the Control Room, an officer caught up to him and handed him a note. It was a report from the lead surface vessel that all SOSUS sensors marked as primary targets had been eliminated, and they were now proceeding to eliminate the secondary ones to throw off the trail. With a grin on his face, he turned to his XO and said “Contact the other vessels. I want them to all continue to the base except the ones captained by these officers” at which point he started writing on the back of the note. Once done he continued while handing the note to the XO “These vessels will stay with me, and assist in giving the GNSF a present they will never forget”. After a few laps of the control room, he turned and said to no one in particular “I have had fun playing with the GNSF, now they will pay for the Admirals injuries in spades”.

July 12th 2007 MORNING EDITION

After what seemed to be a chaotic week, all now seems quiet in Nampo. The fires at the military weapons plant are now under control and the fire response team is starting to wind down. When asked about the fire, the Fire Martial stated “The fires are all under control now and we have sent in rescuers and dogs to search for any survivors. “ When asked if any military personnel had been found yet, he responded “We have found no one at this time and no bodies. The structure was very heavy and it must have been a huge blast to cause the destruction now seen”. When asked about health concerns and hazardous materials he reported “We have checked the site and air samples show no toxins outside those normally produced in a fire, plus there is no indication of any radiation”
As the search for survivors continues, the new cabinet seems to be in full swing in P'YÖNGYAN with repair work going on at the complex and roadways. One worker reported “Well, we have a bit of road damage from the tanks and some minor damage inside the building from bullets and probably explosives, but its only minor for what happened here”.
And now, a special report from our correspondent Arthur Greenwood aboard CVN-73

Well Bill, it seems that while all went quiet in the East China Sea, the Global Naval Strike Force still seems to be in a state of high alert. The Task force has moved out of the China Sea and is moving fast out into the Pacific. When I asked Commander Swordfish about this, his only comment was “he are heading home to Vancouver”. It seems no one is talking much here, but I have the feeling this conflict is far from over. Having been aboard other military vessels before, I know a trip home usually doesn’t happen at high speed with the vessels making turns every few minutes.

From the deck of CVN-73, somewhere in the Pacific, your war correspondent Arthur Greenwood.

Thank you Arthur. We will keep you up to date with any new breaking stories

This just in. It seems that military activity at the GNSF HQ in Vancouver and surrounding areas is very high at this moment. Reports are coming in of many military vehicles heading from the GNSF armed forces base towards the large airfield north. This airfield is used mainly for the military and air search and rescue. Reports state that anywhere from 30-40 vehicles are all heading north. Also, reports of high activity in the port area may be an indication that the conflict in the Sea of Japan is not yet over. We will try to get a comment from someone at GNSF HQ and keep you updated.

ADM WALLBANGER CNO-GNSF

Scramble ALL Assets and search the BC coast for possible enimy submarines. This is not a drill, repeat this is not a drill. SOSUS net is inactive and we believe the DPRK have a sub surface task force set to attack GNSF HQ and other assets in the Vancouver area. All sea assets to put to sea and start a full active search, while all ground forces are to put on high alert and protect all bases and the coats line. Expect special forces incursion.

July 12th 2007 DPRK COMMANDO ATTACK ON AIRFIELD

Last night, a DPRK commando tried to infiltrate the GNSF HQ main airfield control tower. GNSF Command reports that the attackers were wiped out by Commander Spellfire's SEAL TEAM who suffered but just one casualty.

This sudden attack tends to confirm GNSF HQ's doubts about an imminent attack on the Canadian west coast.

Off the coast of Vancouver

As the morning hours broke on a choppy sea, the XO found Laffite still in the control room pacing. “Don’t worry, the Admiral is a tough nut and I know he ain’t cracked yet” the XO said as he walked in. “What? Hell I’m not worried about him. I’m just making sure I have all the details worked out for what will come “ Laffite replied, knowing the XO probably didn’t buy it. He then queried the XO “Who is on the 5th hold-back sub?” “Its Barbarossa” the XO replied. Smiling, he instructed “OK, I want our Special Forces teams split between our boat and Barbarossa’s boat”. Looking a bit nervous, the XO replied “Sir, the weather really sucks out there, I wouldn’t recommend a raft transfer in this”. Laffite, smiling that evil grin replied with a chuckle “If they cant make a boat transit then how can I believe they can take on the GNSF Seals, besides, with the bad weather they cant get planes out here”. He then continued “Surface all the boats with SPECOP and get them moved. Were safe from view in this storm and we need to get set up now”. “Shall do” the XO replied and walked out of the control room.
After pacing a while longer, Laffite turned and headed out of the Control room to the infirmary. Once there he walked up to the doctor and asked with a nasty grin “So doc, how is your health… I mean the Admiral”. The doc, looking smug, replied “He is actually in good shape, so I guess I won’t have to take over the ship to save my hide”. At this, Laffite starred hard at the doc, then broke into laughter spitting out “Ah doc, I knew you would pull him through. You know I would be lost without you”. The doc, smiling a half smile replied “I know, I have pieced you back together so many times that I have earned the title, indispensable”. This made Laffite laugh more, then turning to see the Admiral actually sitting up, walked over to the bed and chuckled. “ Damn, I thought you were chum”. With a big grin on his face, the Admiral replied “Hey, that dragon scale armor stuff you gave me really kicks ass. I can’t believe one moment I’m starring at a bouncing black ball then poof, back here and feeling pretty good. I guess the others were not so lucky” as his grin faded away. “No”, Laffite replied “They ended up as stains on the walls”. Looking a bit sad, then cheering up, the Admiral said “You have got to get me more of those body suites, I don’t care how much the cost”. Laffite replied “Well, the problem is we got that one of a GNSF Seal that was shot in the head. I will ask the SPECOP team if they can keep their eyes out for more”. Laffite feeling chuffed started to laugh again, but composed himself when the Admiral asked, “OK, so what’s the plan now. We managed to get a lot of demo charges set around the base and crippled a few choppers. Should take them some time to clean up our mess”. Walking over and sitting down in a chair next to the bed, Laffite detailed the plan.
“Well, we have trashed the SOSUS net and have clear passage to the base. We are now trashing sensors in a different direction. They will probably pick us up knocking them out and will follow the path, the wrong one” said Laffite, pausing only to chuckle a bit. “Most of the fleet is now heading to the base, less 5 boats. We will engage the enemy who has probably figured out something is up and will be here soon. They will believe our fleet is here making a last stand, allowing the rest to make the base safe. Then we mix it up with the GNSF and cause a little bit of chaos. We are also going to send in another ops team so that their ground pounders don’t get bored. There is something I want to get from their HQ”; Laffite finished, now sitting with a big smile. Looking up at Laffite, the Admiral, looking very serious stated “Good, but I am going on the HQ raid”. Laffite, springing up to his feet replied “Are you nuts, you have gotten yourself shot on almost every trip, and this last time almost became wall graffiti. Just sit there and let someone else get messed up for a change”. Still looking at Laffite, his face unmoving calmly replied “They are my men, and I go”. Shaking his head, Laffite turned to head back to the control room, mumbling as he left “Your'e only going if the doc says so, and you better come back in one piece”.

Aboard the USS Shark off the South East coast of BC

As ADM Wallbanger walked into the control room, he saw the FADM working on the charts with papers everywhere. “What’s up boss”, the Admiral asked. “Its bad WB, really bad. I have taken the time and location of contacts of the DPRK subs from our last battle and the Japanese. If I plot worst case of them running flank it would put them right off the coast of Vancouver. If I take the two contact times and plot steady speed, it puts them at 25K and about 60 nm away from HQ. Either way, they are in attack range” The FADM explained. Looking at the chart and their current position, ADM Wallbanger could see they were still about 6 hours away from any hope of finding them. As he pondered what to do, the FADM grabbed him by the arm and led him into an unoccupied corner in the Control room. He then whispered “Look WB, I hate to say it, but I’m pretty sure HQ is going to get hit, if it hasn’t already started. Discreetly contact Paul at HQ and get them to evacuate the whole complex, and ASAP. Have them set up in the Emergency Command Bunker.” Looking at the FADM, the ADM nodded his head and left for the radio room.
Turning to the XO, the FADM asked, “which sub is in the front of our pack?” Looking at his notes and checking the time, the XO responded “Its LCDR Micksp who is commanding the group in front”. “Contact him and tell him to be our ears, then have the rest of the groups head flank until the gap reaches 15nm, then have one group slow and watch. Keep this up and let me know when we are within 20nm of HQ or if you spot anything.” The FADM ordered. “Aye sir, we will overbound all the groups and try to keep us at flank”, the XO replied.
After a few moments, ADM Wallbanger returned to the control room, giving the FADM a nod.

GNSF HQ, Vancouver

AS VADM Paul paced in the Command control room, one of the SOSUS operators yelled out “VADM SIR, I have another SOSUS contact.” VADM Paul spun around and went to the screen. “Keep an eye on it and tell me if that sensor drops it” the VADM replied. He then walked over to another huge monitor and asked the officer there “Have you marked that one yet”. “Aye sir, and I have a good idea where they are heading, but the more the better” the officer responded. “SIR, I have another one” a voice yelled from across the room. “Good, send it over” the VADM replied. As the blip popped on the large screen, the operator yelled out “GOT IT SIR, they are heading for the West Point of Alaska”. Before the VADM could comment, again a voice from across the room yelled “Aye sir, just lost that sensor, they are on a course to Lopp Lagoon on the western tip of Alaska”. VADM Paul, now cracking a smile blurted out “GOT YOU”.
Just them, an officer from the coms desk called out “VADM Paul sir, ADM Wallbanger on the line”. The VADM walked over to the com station and sat down as the officer moved out of his way. “Hey sir, I have good news” the VADM said. “I don’t, and I need you to listen close and carefully, evacuate the complex and get to the Emergency Command bunker, you understand me, get everyone out NOW” ADM Wallbanger ordered. Looking a bit surprised, the VADM spun around and yelled, “EVACUATE THE COMPLEX, HEAD FOR THE ECB, MOVE IT! MOVE IT!” at which point everyone scattered except a few officers. Turning back, VADM Paul continued the call with the CNO “OK, I have given the evacuation order, and all non essential personnel are heading out”. Just as the last word came from the VADM’s mouth, the CNO blasted back “EVERYONE, EVERYONE OUT! DO YOU UNDERSTAND”. Thinking for a second, the VADM kicked into autopilot and smashed his fist down on a large red button on the desk beside him, which set the emergency horns and strobes flashing. “OK, I have set a code red EVAC” the VADM Replied. Admiral Wallbanger continued “OK, good, now here is what’s up. We feel the DPRK subs we are hunting are within striking distance of the HQ, and the FADM is sure they will try to hit it. Get set up in the ECB and contact me when you’re there”. “Sir, I don’t think that’s their plan, we have them knocking out sensors up to the west coast of Alaska. I need to stay here, as the ECB doesn’t have half the stuff we have here, I can’t track them properly from there” the VADM complained. After a moment of silence, ADM Wallbanger responded “Look Paul, we went over all the intel we have, and the only thing in common to the sensors being terminated is a convoy of surface cargo ships. Its NOT the subs killing the sensors, it’s the ships clearing a path for the subs” As the CNO’s words sank in, VADM Paul all of sudden felt very uneasy. “Got it sir, we are all out of here” he replied. Just then, ADM Wallbanger added “OH, and one last thing, get all of our subs out there ASAP. Tell them they have to find and stop these guys, and not stop until they have sunk them all. Now get out of there my friend, right now, Wallbanger out”. As the word out still echoed through the room, VADM Paul was running for the door making sure no one was left.

July 12th 2007 BREAKING NEWS FLASH

Now with a special report from the GNSF HQ complex in Vancouver, we go to Michael Brewer.

Thank you Bill, I am standing just outside the Global Naval Strike Force Base here, and just a few moments ago alarm horns sounded all over the complex. We can now see people running out of the building and piling into all sorts of vehicles. They all seem to heading north with armed guards blockading the road just beside us. We tried to get a comment from some of the people leaving, but some armed officers have instructed us to remain behind the barricade. I will see what can learn here, as I have never seen anything like this before.

Michael, it almost sounds like an air raid or some other attack. Can you see anything out of the ordinary?

No Bill, the weather here is bad with heavy rain and winds, but we have seen nothing that would indicate an attack. I am hoping once things calm down I may be able to get some information from the officers at the blockade.

Thank you Michael, we will stay in touch with you for any breaking developments. Please stay tuned for breaking development at the GNSF base in Vancouver.

As Lafitte paced in the control room, the XO came up to him and said, “OK, were in position for the final run”. Lafitte looked at him and replied “Good, now you were in the infirmary, is that nutcase Admiral still determined to lead an assault?” “Yea, and I don’t think you’re going to be able to talk him out of it, he is REALLY wanting it bad” the XO answered. “OK then, I will give it to him, signal the other four boats and tell them they are heading in, we will hold back. Give command to Captain Yi Yong-su, he has been twitching for more combat” Laffite instructed. The XO looking really puzzled replied “You’re not serious are you, you’re going to sit this one out?” “Yea, if we get hit it will blow any chance of him getting his kicks and if he is going to do this then I want to be there to back him up and pull his sorry ass out if he gets hit again” Laffite laughed. “OK then, I will send the others in. Any last words for them before they head in?” the XO asked. “Yes. Tell them to obliterate that place and any sub out there, that will make me happy” Laffite chuckled.

As the FADM paced, there was a call from the sonar station “SIR, I have very faint traces, TIW and explosions bearing 012”. At this, the FADM called back “WB, find out which boats we have the farthest apart east and west, and see if they can confirm bearings”. The Admiral didn’t answer, but ran to the coms officer and worked on finding the two best boats. “Sonar, any idea how many and any other details you can give” the FADM called. “Well sir, I would say somewhere around 5-15 torps maybe, and some breaking up of at least one vessel” the officer replied. As the FADM walked back to the charts, he exclaimed, “It’s started”.
After a few moments, ADM Wallbanger came over and announced, “Sir, with our best guess it seems we are between 65 nm and 75 nm away from the action.” Thank you WB, I hope its our guys causing the carnage” the FADM replied as he went back to chart.

As the boats made their way towards the goal, a message came through. “Sir” the con operator called “Two of the 4 subs have problems and are turning back”. Laffite, spinning around ran over to the con station and yelled “Get them on the line I want to know exactly what’s going on. “Sir, the LA class had a coolant rupture and had to scram the reactor. They are moving back towards us,” the officer said, then trying to make contact with the other boat. Laffite started pacing again not believing his luck. Just then Admiral Kim Jung iL came into the control room and asked “Laffite, you look peeved, what’s wrong”. Laffite turned to the Admiral and whined “We have problems with two of the four boats, the LA Class had a reactor breakdown, and still waiting on the problem with the other one”. Just then, the coms officer called out “Sir, the second boat is one of the Akula's, they had a fire in the torpedo room and had to surface. It’s under control now but the weapons systems are non functional”. Laffite, starting to boil over barked back “What the hell caused the fire”. “Sir, according to the engineer there it was a fuel leak in one of the Russian missiles, he said something about peroxide leaks”. After pacing around a few times, Laffite called out to the con officer “Get me the lead ship of the two left, tell them to abort” Laffite called out. The Admiral, not believing his ears walked to Laffite and quietly said “You can’t be serious, we can’t stop now”. “I can’t ask two subs only to go in there, that’s suicide”. Just then, the coms officer called out “Sir, your not going to like this, the lead sub said they will continue and not return”. Laffite, looking shocked was about to yell when the officer continued “Sir, its Captain No Chun-Hwan. He says to tell you he is loaded for bears and can do this. He has the Seawolf with him for cover and asked to be allowed to do this for Admiral Kim Jung iL”. Looking totally surprised but pleased, Laffite replied “Does he know it’s just him and the Seawolf, with no other support?” “Aye sir” the coms officer replied. “Very well, tell him to go for it and good hunting” Laffite replied. Walking over to the Admiral, Laffite smiled and said softly “boy, your guys really think you’re the pirates monkey” as he softly chuckled. Walking back to the coms station he yelled “Get those other two subs back here and tell them to have them operational ASAP of a lot of people are going to be seeing the inside of the muzzle door on my tubes.

GNSF Emergency Bunker Complex, somewhere in Vancouver

AS VADM Paul raced around the makeshift control room; the complex was shaken with what felt like a small earthquake. The VADM stopped and looked at the other officers, as the rumbling continued like a bad thunderstorm. Fearing the worst, the VADM went up to an officer manning a console and asked “Can you tell me anything about the status of the HQ building”. The officer looking up replied “Well sort of sir, we can monitor the electrical supply and interlink cabling” he said feeling proud of himself for thinking of it. “Excellent sir, lets see what’s happening over there” the VADM replied. After switching lots of dials and bringing up about 20 different process screens, the operator turned to the VADM and said “I’m sorry sir, nothing is showing or responding, I think it’s gone”.

July 12th 2007 ATTACK ON CANADIAN SOIL

We bring you breaking news from Vancouver, where the GNSF base has come under attack. In a scene right out of Desert Storm, the sound of what may have been screaming missiles and large explosions ripped through the complex. Again, Canada under attack. For more we take you to our correspondent in Vancouver, Michael Brewer.

Thank you Bill, I am crouched down here in a ditch as explosion rip though the area in and around the GNSF HQ complex. We can see what appears to be anti aircraft missiles being shot off from the compound as well as huge explosions all around. One bomb landed several feet away from the blockade set up earlier and injured a few officer as well as destroying several vehicles. From what we can see the complex is filled with fires and smoke.

Michael, can you hear planes in the area?

No Bill, the weather here is still really bad, but just before the big explosions we could here a sound like a rocket engine. Right now it’s quiet and seems that the attack has stopped for the moment. There are several military officers running around moving people farther away from the area. We are now being told to move farther away so we will have to break until we set up at a new location

Thank you Michael, we will stay in touch with you for any breaking developments. Please stay tuned for more breaking development at the GNSF base in Vancouver. Again, the GNSF base in Vancouver has been attacked.

As Laffite paced madly, he wanted so bad to run his sub in there and help, but he knew he had to remain where he was. It had been almost three and half hours since the boats headed in and while sonar could pick up torp signatures and explosions, they had no idea of what was going on. “Laffite, will you stop pacing, your driving me nuts” Admiral Kim Jung iL complained. Laffite flashed a glare at the Admiral and kept pacing. “SIR, we have contact with Captain No Chun-Hwan, he reports killing one sub and destroying the enemy HQ”. At that, the control room erupted in cheering, which was broken by the coms officer continuing “but we lost the Seawolf”. The room went quiet, then the Admiral spoke up “Hey, we mourn the loss of our comrades, but celebrate their success”. At this the celebrating continued only quieter.
After a few moments the con operator called “Sir, Captain No Chun-Hwan request orders. There are 3 enemy subs hunting him and has a few torpedo’s left”. Laffite, taking little time to ponder his decision, replied “Tell him to get back here safely, he has accomplished exactly what we needed”. Turning to the Admiral, Laffite smiled and said “Boy, not only do they worship you, they come through for you”. “They are good men” the Admiral replied.
Laffite, turning to the con station ordered “Set heading for the rendezvous point and have the incursion boats ready the assault teams.”

July 13th 2007 AFTERMATH OF ATTACK

Live from Vancouver, where the GNSF base has become completely destroyed, we take you to our correspondent in Vancouver, Michael Brewer.

Thank you Bill. As light has finally broken here we can see the true scope of the devastation. Fire Crews are working at a feverish pace to get the fires under control. From our view we can still see fires burning in what was once a very large and modern complex, which has now been reduced to rubble.

Michael, do you have any information on what caused this destruction?

Yes Bill, this morning a spokesman for the GNSF command stated that the complex was attacked by missiles fired from rouge submarines that were once part of the DPRK. They have also stated that the GNSF forces destroyed several of the submarines, and that they were now sweeping the coastal waters for any remaining vessels.

Thank you Michael, we can see by the video feed that the attack must have been huge. Were there any reports of casualties or is it too early to tell.

Well Bill, fortunately the command staff in the building were informed of a possible attack and evacuated the building. This was the mass exodus we witnessed yesterday. We are told that no one was in the complex when it was attacked, and all personnel were moved to a safe location.

Thank you Michael, and be careful out there. We will continue to monitor this story. Please stay tuned for more breaking development at the GNSF base in Vancouver.

As Captain No Chun-Hwan climbed from the raft to board the Hotspur, he was sure his days as a Captain were numbered. After refusing an order from Laffite to abort the mission, and now with the Seawolf boat sunk, he knew this was the end. Even though he managed to rescue most of the Seawolf crew, he knew when he was ordered to come over to Laffite’s boat he would probably leave via the torpedo tube.
Climbing down the hatch he made peace with his maker as the XO at the bottom of the stairs yelled “Chun-Hwan, get your ass into the control room now, Admiral Kim and Laffite are waiting for you, and they don’t look happy”. As the Captain nodded, he walked fast to the control room. As he entered he saw the Admiral and Laffite both standing there starring at him, with an armed officer on each side. He called out “Captain No Chun-Hwan reporting as ordered sir”. Both men just stood there with stone cold expressions fixed on their faces. After a few moments that seemed forever for the Captain, Laffite spoke. “Captain, as a result of loosing two of the four boats I ordered you to abort the mission, which you then deliberately refused”. Trying hard to swallow, the Captain responded “Yes sir, and I accept full responsibility for both vessels that continued on.” Trying hard not to look scared to death. The two just continued to stare at him, then Admiral Kim spoke. “We have no other option here Captain, you’re action have forced us to do something that we have not done in a long time” he said with a serious and yet sad face.
Knowing he was done, the Captain pictured the inside of the torpedo tube and what it might sound like as he is spewed forth onto the deep water.
“Captain, get over here, I want you to see something before I give the order” the Admiral commanded.” The Captain walked over to where the Admiral was, in front of a dark monitor that was totally blank. Turning to one of the armed officer, the Admiral said, “Its time, let us begin”. Tensing all the muscles he had, the Captain prepared himself for what now looked like a fast quick shot to the head. As he set himself, the armed guard walked over to a panel and flipped a switch. Immediately, the control room was filled with music, a mix of what seemed like sort of pirate, Caribbean, and Russian. Then the dark monitor lit up showing life footage of the GNSF HQ burning. Just then both the Admiral and Laffite started laughing and dancing around like insane epileptics on acid. Totally confused, the Captain still tensed and standing motionless waited for the other shoe to drop. “Captain, you smoked the whole place, congratulations sir and well done” the Admiral chuckled. Seeing the Captain was still confused, Laffite grabbed his arm and started dancing him around the room, then yelling “Lighten up Captain, you’re a hero” Laffite released the captain into a spin that almost shot him through the bulkhead. Maintaining his footing, the Captain smiled as it sunk in that he would become shark bait today. As Laffite handed a bottle to the Captain, the Admiral, still watching the screen yelled out “Burn baby BURN!… Damn I love CNN”.

Approaching the GNSF HQ port, Vancouver

“Sir, we are approaching the port sir “The XO called. “See if you can get in contact with anyone” FADM stern ordered. “Sir, can’t get through on any of the secure channels, even the EBC secure channel is dead.” The radio operator replied. Pacing a bit, the FADM wondered if HQ got hit, and if so did VADM get everyone out. “I need to find out what happened” the FADM barked, which drew an immediate response from the coms officer. “Sir, I can check the civilian broadcasts for anything” he said while changing dials. After a few moments the operator added, “Sir, I tapped into CNN, it seems the HQ complex was flattened, but everyone was gone well before the attack. It also seems that several enemy subs were destroyed, while only one of ours was hit”. “Damn” the FADM replied just as ADM Wallbanger and RDML Phantom walked in. Looking at the FADM, neither one said anything, preferring to wait to be filled in, which took only seconds. “Well, it seems HQ was hit although all got out. Seems we sunk a few and lost one” the FADM blurted out, followed a few seconds latter by “Damn, all the high tech crap we have and I get my intel from CNN”. This drew a chuckle from ADM Wallbanger, who quickly composed himself and added “Sorry sir”. After thinking a bit, the FADM turned and ordered “CON, take us to the north most port near the EBC. Coms, see if you can get them on any channel and have them meet us at the port”. Just then, the XO called out “FADM Sir, I have the complex on periscope and it looks bad”. Heading over the FADM looked out and saw what was once a nice complex, now a smoldering pile of rubble. “Tell the other boats to set up defensive perimeters all around this port and the north one, and keep an eye out for any more DPRK subs. CON, take us in so we can unload. OH, and WB, get Alpha up here”. The FADM instructed.
As the Shark started to make its final approach to the north port, mainly used for smaller rescue vessels and not submarines, the XO ordered the boat surfaced. Carefully they pulled into the one and only pier that was deep enough to let the sub dock safely. Just then, CDR Alpha arrived in the control room, and saluting said “FADM Sir, CDR Alpha reporting as ordered”. Turning around, the FADM responded “Take your men and get to the EBC and find CDR Spellfire. I want all available men to lock this coastline up tighter than a frogs ass”. “Aye sir” replied the CDR as he headed back to get the rest of the Seals ready. “WB, you head to the EBC as well and coordinate the subs, I don’t think this is over yet and I want to be ready incase they come back”. The FADM said as he watched the keel depth, making sure they didn’t scrape his sub up.

Laffite, still in the control room half dancing every now and then, was interrupted when the music stopped. Spinning around he saw the Admiral standing there. “OK, the team is away” the Admiral stated. “Good, are the boats in all in position” Laffite asked “Yep, they are all positioned and the crew is already on shore. They have set up a “static beacon” we can follow but the GNSF wont notice.” The Admiral said with a smile. “OK, one thing” Laffite remarked, “I hope the team knows that there survival is the primary mission goal, if the have to terminate the shore party then that is acceptable”. “Oh yea, I made that clear to them, and that made them a lot happier” the Admiral chuckled. “OK, now what about the charges, are they set”. Laffite asked. Loosing the smile the Admiral responded “No, seems that they didn’t get the opportunity to take on any charges as the GNSF boats were to close to the transit point for the subs to take a chance”, expecting to see Laffite get all cranky. Laffite, staying totally calm and still smiling responded “Well, were here, guess we can deal with it as our last task. We will wait until the SPECOPS have completed their task first”. The Admiral smiled and turned the music back on.

As Laffite continued his pacing around the control room, which fortunately most of the crew was used to, he tried to find something to do to pass the time. Waiting was not his good suite, and especially knowing there was a 90% the Admiral would get himself shot again. “There back” a voice yelled from down the hall. As Laffite moved down the hall he yelled “OK, get the Admiral to the infirmary, and don’t even try to tell me you didn’t bring him back”. As Laffite got closer to the hatch he heard a voice reply, “Thanks for the vote of confidence, and you know where you can stick the infirmary”. Laffite started laughing as the Admiral climbed down the ladder. “So I guess the mission was a success” Lafitte chuckled. Not looking happy for someone without any new bullet holes in him, the Admiral replied “I didn’t even get to fire a shot. It was so easy a blind man could have done it”. Laffite looking surprised replied “You had no resistance at all?” “No, we killed two at long range, but it didn’t seem like they even bothered to try to secure the area. One of our group went looking deep inland, and after seeing one soldier shot him. We expected a swarm but nothing?” the Admiral replied. “Well, that’s actually a nice change” Laffite chuckled, “But I think our last task may be a lot harder.” The Admiral, stripping off his sea soaked camo’s walked to the control room with Laffite. “Ok, let’s map out the mission and tomorrow we finish and head for base,” the Admiral said moving to the chart board.

As the FADM surveyed the damage to the HQ complex, a Marine ran up to him with a radio calling “FADM Sir, its ADM Wallbanger”. “Thank you sir” the FADM replied as he returned the salute and took the radio from the officer. “Hey WB, what’s up at the EBC?” the FADM asked. “Well all is ok here, and everyone is accounted for. Seems Paul couldn’t contact us as the transmitting tower was damaged in the attack from a stray missile” the ADM replied. “Well we need coms fixed ASAP, and what’s the point of having a EBC if it won’t work as a command center during an attack. Its SUPPOSED to work when its hit by missles ” the FADM complained. “Oh, the coms are up fine now, was just a broken wire, 1 in a million shot” the ADM Explained. As the FADM looked over the carnage, he noticed a group of ships sitting out in the harbor and called "Hey WB, why the hell do we have a slew of cargo ships sitting out in the harbor? HQ may be mangled but the port is still fine. Tell those idiots to get in here”. “Rgr boss, shall do. So how is the HQ site” the ADM asked. The FADM taking one last scan of the area replied “Well, remember how you said your office was too small, well now its about 25,000 square feet. It’s a total right-off and will have to be rebuilt from the ground up”. “Damn, so what do we do now” the ADM replied. Thinking for a minute, the FADM said “Well, we run command the best we can from the bunker. Keep the subs out there patrolling at least until we can get some P3’s to drop sonar buoys and until we get those damn cargo ships in here. They are sitting ducks parked where they are. I’m heading over to the EBC now, will see you in a bit. The FADM replied.

Inside the EBC

As Admiral Wallbanger and VADV Clash oversaw the set up in the complex, LTJG Sanitie ran in yelling “WE GOT MEN DOWN!” Looking up from the console, ADM Wallbanger yelled back “Calm down soldier, tell us what’s happened”. “Sir, we have a squad out near the old storage complex, they just radioed in that one was shot and another doesn’t answer” she said trying to catch her breath. “Ok, lets get a squad out there now” the ADM yelled, followed by the LTJG replying “They’re already on their way sir”. Looking a little worried, the ADM called to VADM Clashing “Get Spellfire in here and find out what officers were out there”. The VADM replied “Aye sir, but Spellfire is over at the HQ site securing the sensitive area’s”. At that the ADM turned back to the LTJG and ordered “I want at least 50 men out there, that area was supposed to be secure. If we have a breach they must have a large force”. “Aye sir”, the LTJG responded and ran from the room.
After a while VADM Clash called over “Sir, we had four men out there, CDR Alpha, LCDR Pavd, LT Bdawg and LTJG Manny. From what I have found out from LT Manny on the radio here, Bdawg was shot while patrolling the building area and CDR Alpha was also shot. “. The FADM feeling frustrated was a bit shocked that they would launch a land attack knowing they would be expecting it. Just then the FADM heard the VADM as he raised his voice to LTJG Manny on the other end of the radio “WHAT! What do you mean protecting the building”. Confused, the FADM said nothing and moved closer to here it better. “Secure an area around both injured men and make sure you don’t shoot the squad were sending for you” the VADM yelled, followed by a pause, then throwing the radio across the room. A bit stunned at the ‘radio flight’, which was more suited for the FADM himself in a time of anger, he asked, “VADM, what’s up. Don’t sound like its good”. The VADM composing himself replied “They apparently got their orders messed up, and were guarding the old storage barn”. Now looking totally confused, the FADM asked, “Guarding it? There is nothing in the damn place but old junk”. As the VADM watched the FADM get angrier by the moment, he noticed ADM Wallbanger, who had walked over to the other end of the room, bend over and pick up the radio. He proceeded to walk towards the FADM and was extending his hand to pass him the radio, when the FADM yelled, “DON’T EVEN GO THERE WB. I NEED SOMETHING BIGGER TO THROW!” At this, the ADM backup up.
After several minutes of quiet tension, the radio operator called out “ADM Wallbanger sir, sorry to interrupt” then paused to see if he got the ADM attention. At this all three unhappy ADM’s turned to stare at the officer. ADM Wallbanger then queried “What is it sir”. “Well sir, those tankers parked in the harbor sir, well they are not answering my hails. I checked with the dock master and they have no ships scheduled until next week”.

Inside the EBC

FADM paced around a bit, then stopped. “The SOSUS sensors” he blurted out. ADM Wallbanger, totally confused at the blurted statement, replied “Sir”. The FADM turned to VADM Paul and asked “Those SOSUS sensors that were taken out, what kind of ships did we narrow it down to”. “Well sir, after checking the traffic it seemed it was a group of Cargo..” the VADM Replied, stopping in mid sentence. “WB, get a Seal Bomb Squad out the ASAP, board and check those ships. I want them swept for explosives and searched for DPRK soldiers” the FADM barked.

Inside the EBC Continued

“FADM Stern sir” a voice rang out from the command center coms station. The operator continued “I have the team on the radio sir. They say the boats are abandoned and anchored, no sign of explosives on board”. A bit surprised at the response, the FADM replied “Tell them to make absolutely sure its not rigged and then move them out to deep water”. As the operator relayed the instructions, the FADM walked over to ADM Wallbanger and quietly said “This doesn’t make sense, why would they leave 8 perfectly good cargo ships at our door and not have them boobytrapped, something isn’t right, we are missing something”. While the two tried to figure out what sick twisted plot Admiral Kim was up to, the radio operator called out again. “Sir, they cant move the boats. Seems the engines have been destroyed and the anchor motors are in the same condition”. No less confused, the FADM walked over to the large chart table, which contained a map laying out the area. The map was marked with the location of the cargo ships as well as GNSF subs and possible locations of enemies. “OK” commented ADM Wallbanger, “I can see what they are up to, they parked them there to block the harbor and sub pens so we cant get our boats out”. At this the FADM’s face went white, standing frozen for a moment he replied “OH MY GOD” at which point he started measuring and marking on the map. “COMS, get me CDR Swordfish’s boat” the FADM yelled. “Sir, CDR Swordfish is with his boat in dry dock” the operator replied. “Just great, ok who is sector 7?” he yelled back”. ADM Wallbanger interjected with “Sir, we have 4 boats in that area, team leader is LT Duck”. “Get a message to the LT, tell him to sweep the deep water for enemy subs, specific details to follow”. The FADM ordered, then calling out to ADM Wallbanger “How many subs can we get in sector 7 in the next 3 hours”. After looking at the map, the ADM replied “None sir, you know they are too far out. What is it”. The FADM Explained “WB, they have anchored boats in the harbor mouth, but no charges. They know we can cut the anchors and pull them out. They need them sunk to really mess up the harbor access. They have no choice but to sink them with sub, probably missiles and maybe torps. We need those 4 boats to find and kill them. “ Before the ADM could respond, the FADM added as he walked out of the control room “I never thought I would ever say this, but I must take a page from the Russians”. ADM Wallbanger waited for what he hoped he would not here. At the door, turning to the ADM, the FADM Finished “Tell them ‘NOT ONE STEP BACK’ “.

As the boats made ready to start their attach, Laffite said “Admiral Kim, do you have any interest in captaining one of the boats for this run” then smiled. “Laffite, I’m going in even if I have to kill you and take this boat” the Admiral said with an evil smile”. As Laffite started to laugh, he replied “We have your boat ready, and I have loaded it out with some really cool weapons I had the Spetsnaz team bring over”. “Good, I’m heading there now. I don’t think this will be too hard, the GNSF seem to have lost their spine” the Admiral said as he left the control room laughing hard. Laffite walked over to the CON station, grabbed the con officers shoulder and squeezing said “You keep us just close enough to watch the show on sonar”. Feeling the nerves in his shoulder scream, the officer replied “I will make sure we have a safe ringside seat, but wouldn’t you prefer to mix it up yourself sir?”. Laffite, squeezing harder replied “You know I would you sniveling toad, but we don’t have any weapons on board except a few crappy torps” Laffite then released his grip on the officer who was fighting hard not to crumple. As he walked over to the hammock he had the engineer string right in the middle of the small control room, he jumped in and stretched out. With his hands behind his head he sighed and said “I may be a spectator this round, but next round you will wish the Admiral had finished you all off. I will be seeing you’re head hanging on my wall very soon my good friend Mr. Stern”. As he broke out into a long laugh, he relaxed and starred at the ceiling.

Just off the coast of Siberia

As Laffite walked back into the Control room, he saw Admiral Kim Jung iL still there. As Laffite walked over to the radio console, the Admiral yelled “Laffite, don’t even think about turning that damn music back on again”. Laffite, stopping, turned and replied “Come on Kim, lighten up, we should be celebrating. Don’t tell me you didn’t like my plan better than yours”. The Admiral smiled and replied “Yea, I will give you that. Your whole plan was far better than our Plutonium grab scheme. Now we have our own base to operate out of we can do a lot more, even if we don’t have Plutonium”. Laffite started laughing hysterically, spinning around in a crazed dance like Keith Richards on acid. The Admiral, even knowing Laffite's strange ways, was confused at this, “Laffite, what the hell is wrong with you” the Admiral shouted out of frustration.” As Laffite stopped his psycho spinning and laughing, he turned to the Admiral and said “Do you remember the test run with the Kilo to see how your Plutonium scheme would work out” Laffite chuckled. “Yes, what about it” the Admiral replied. “Well Kimy boy, that was no test run, we had the Plutonium on board” Laffite chuckled as he again started a slower spin. “WHAT!” the Admiral said, “So we have it!” “OH YEA, it’s already at the base” Laffite replied still spinning. Looking confused the Admiral asked “So what was in the Kilo that you made me hand over to the Chinese Task force?” Laffite, growing dizzy from the spinning, lost his balance and fell to the floor. Still laughing he replied “We gave then a shipment of spent nuclear sub fuel, that’s why they assumed it was real until the got back to port and checked it. Now they are too embarrassed to say anything to anyone”. The Admiral, finding it a huge pleasant shock, started to laugh himself, which only made Laffite laugh more, then adding “Come on Admiral, you know how environmentally responsible I am, now the Chinese can properly dispose of the waste”. The Admiral found this turn of events too brilliant to believe and shook his head as Laffite continued to laugh. “OH, one more thing, you never told us where this base actually is. The GNSF will be breathing down our necks now,” the Admiral asked. Laffite, totally spent from his episode got to his feet and composing himself replied “Well, all I can say is ‘Welcome to Siberia comrade’, we will be very safe here”. The Admiral, now figuring that this was too good to be true replied “Siberia, they will find and flatten us in no time. How the hell do you hide a base in Siberia… a large snow mound”. Laffite, looking at the Admiral got very serious, then cracked a smile saying “Its easy, you build the base underground”. The Admiral looking again shocked stood silently while Laffite explained. “The Brotherhood of the Coast has spent the last 2 years constructing this base. The entire complex is underground and impenetrable from any attack short of large Nuclear weapons. Even the entrances to the sub pens are underwater, so no boat ever has to surface to come in. As far as the world and all their satellite surveillance is concerned, there is nothing there”. The Admiral, very impressed with what he was hearing asked, “What about power, heat plumes, things that will give it away”. “Simple”, Laffite continued, “We have built on top of the base a small CANDU reactor, thanks to the good old Canadians. It supplies a small amount of power to this region of Siberia. For our power, we have a reactor underground, so everything will look normal to the world”. The Admiral, walking over to Laffite, Grabbed him by both shoulders and said “Sir, you may be insane, but you’re a genius”. Laffite smiled as the Admiral walked over to the com station, and exclaiming, “Well, you have earned this”, flipped on the music he really hated. He then started heading for the hallway. As the Admiral reached the door leading out of the control room, Laffite spoke loudly over the music, “Admiral”. Hearing this, the Admiral turned around, and seeing Laffite looking very serious waited for him to speak. “We are very pleased to have you and your people here with us, but never forget who is in charge and runs the show here”. The Admiral nodded, smiled, and continued out of the control room.
Laffite, walking up to the CON station, yelled to the officer “Make sure when you pull us in to the base you don’t scratch the sub like you did last time. I wouldn’t want to have to assign you to reactor cleaning while its still running”. Gulping, the officer replied “Aye sir, not a scratch”. As Laffite danced over to his Hammock and jumped in, he mumbled “Don’t worry FADM Stern, we will play again, soon”.

Temporary Command Center

FADM Stern watched the work progress on the rebuilding of the GNSF HQ complex. With hundreds of contractors running around like a well-orchestrated ant colony, the work was moving at a very fast pace. Just then, an officer ran up to the FADM and called while saluting “FADM Sir, I have a messenger from CID in the TCC looking for you, he says its urgent sir”. Returning the salute the FADM nodded and followed the officer to the temporary building structure. Upon entering, the messenger handed the FADM a document clearly marked FADM EYES ONLY. As the FADM took the package, he walked down a small hall into his makeshift office. As he got there, ADM Wallbanger joined him and asked “What up boss”. Seeing the package and labeling on it, he continued “Oh, sorry boss, I'll leave you to it”. Grabbing the ADM’s arm as he turned the FADM replied “No, come on in WB, cant think of anything sensitive enough that you cant see it”. As they both entered the office and sat down, the FADM opened the doc and started reading it. After a while he shook his head and exclaimed, “Damn it, I should have known”. Throwing the doc across the table to ADM Wallbanger, the FADM added “This is worse than I figured, it’s only just begun”.

00Z: 07/17/07
FROM: Lieutenant Brice Williams, GNSF CID OFFICE

To: FADM STERN GNSF HQ YOURE EYES ONLY

This message was picked up by our communications officer and appears to directed to you sir. As a result, we tried tracking it, but could only get a broad fix of somewhere near the Alaska Coast. I have kept this document to only the coms officer and my eyes.

My Old Friend FADM Stern

First, don’t waste your time trying to track this message, as it was relayed through a surface transponder that you have probably located of the Alaskan coast. I just wanted you to know that there will be no further attacks from the DPRK, as their job is now done. As you probably have figured out, we have a new home that you won’t find, so don’t waste energy on it. You should concentrate on rebuilding all that you lost.
I must admit the GNSF is a far better adversary than the Seawolves were, but in this game of chess I still came out the winner. Oh, and say hi to Admiral Wallbanger for me, sure hope he isn’t afraid to go back in the water after I sunk him hahahaha.

Since I am impressed with the way you managed to live through this, and the valor your men fought with I will tell you this. Don’t worry about the DPRK group any more, as they no longer exist. They are now part of our family, the one you tried to kill when you were with the Seawolves, the Glorious Brotherhood of the Coast. We are alive and well, and will tolerate no further interference from you or any one else. Cut your losses and rebuild your little empire, just stay well clear of us when we set sail, as next time will make the Seawolves battle look like a training exorcise hahaha.

Your Friend;

Jean Laffite, Commander and God
Brotherhood of the Coast

ok GLOBAL NEWS NETWORK

July 17th 2007 BACK TO NORMAL ?

This is Bill Masters for the Global News Network bringing you live coverage of a press conference called by the Global Naval Strike Force. We will be joining our correspondent Michael Brewer when the conference starts, but in the mean time we have been updated on a few of our previous questions. It seems that the attack launched on the GNSF headquarters was done by a renegade group of former DPRK officers, lead by Admiral Kim Jung iL. At an emergency meeting held at the UN today, he DPRK denounced this organization as a terrorist group with no affiliation with the DPRK. The DPRK also assured the UN that they are considered enemies of the state, and will not be tolerated anywhere within their borders. When asked to comment after the meeting, the GNSF representative Vice Admiral Paul stated “this group is no different then any other terrorist group, and must be hunted down and exterminated”. When we asked for further details from the VADM, he stated “All your questions will be answered at a press conference later today”.

Now, lets check in with our correspondent Michael Brewer, who is at the press conference, which is being held right beside what was once the GNSF main headquarters building. Michael;

Thank you Bill. I am here at a temporary command post the GNSF has set up for the work of rebuilding their complex. I have been told that this press conference was called by Fleet Admiral Stern, to give us an update of this war and answer some question. I can see that Admiral Wallbanger, the Chief of Naval Operations has just come out to the podium, and yes, here comes Fleet Admiral Stern.

“Thank you all for coming today, my name is Fleet Admiral Stern of the Global Naval Strike Force. You have all been following this war and know most of the details as we believed them to be, but as it turns out most of what we saw was a huge ruse. While it appeared that the DPRK were ready for war, it was in fact a rebel group working on a far larger plan using this staged conflict as a cover. What we were actually facing here, which is something we didn’t find out until the attack on HQ, was that the rouge DPRK group was in fact a collection of ex-Russian military and Spetsnaz trained Korean officers from past conflicts. This group was led by Admiral Kim, but commanded by someone higher. It was only after receipt of a message today that we discovered who this was, a skilled Spetsnaz officer that goes by the name of Jean Laffite, the former second in command of the Brotherhood of the Coast group. While we are now rebuilding, we are still actively searching for this group before they have a chance to settle in and regroup. This conflict seems over now, but I fear it was just a taste of things to come if we don’t find and squash this group. I will take a few question now”.

“Fleet Admiral, when you say the Brotherhood of the Coast group, are you referring to the group that decimated the Seawloves organization a few years back?”

“Yes, the very same group. We thought they had died out, but seems that Laffite and possibly others are still very much alive.”

“Do you have any idea’s where this group is, and if maybe the North Koreans are hiding them”

“No, we do not yet have a location on this group, but we are sure they are not near Korea. They took great pains to destroy most of the underwater detection grid along the west coast, called SOSUS, which is used to detect submarines and ships in the water. We believe they are somewhere in the Alaska or Arctic area.”

“ How much of a threat is this group, do you have any idea of their strength”

“We know they probably have at least 6 nuclear submarines, maybe more, and they must have at least a partial base for them. As for being a threat, if Laffite is involved then I take them as a serious threat. Last question”

“Sir, how will the GNSF be able to deal with this group with the HQ being destroyed, subs lost, and the harbor blocked. How do we protect Canada and other countries from their attacks”

“Well sir, the GNSF is not an HQ building, or a harbor, it is a collection of the absolute best officers on the planet, all of which would fight until their last breath to eliminate terrorist scum like this from the planet. As long as one GNSF officer lives and breaths, this group will always be looking over their shoulders. Thank you all for coming, I will have the HQ staff provide you all with the report we submitted to the UN.”

That was the Fleet Admiral of the Global Naval Strike Force detailing the state of this conflict. Back to you Bill.

Thank you our Michael. Well from what the Fleet Admiral stated it looks like while the conflict seems to be over for now, it is by no mean finished. This is Bill Masters for the Global News Network.
