GNSF WAR ROE PREFACE | | In addition to the normal GNSF ROE that are always in place, a War requires special rules to be put in place to allow the War to run smoothly, and account for play that is specialized to War combat. Since Each War set up is usually different from the previous War, this WAR ROE page will deal specifically with the War being played at the time. For this reason this page will always bear the NAME of the War being implemented to which these rules apply. Please note that the normal GNSF ROE are always in effect during War games, unless specifically stated otherwise in this section. This section details only the rules that are specific to the War Games being played, and those that may change current normal rules of game play. If not specifically detailed in the WAR ROE, the normal GNSF ROE shall apply. |
SEA SPECIFIC ROE | Game Times:
All dives shall be a maximum of two hours. Any weapons that are active will be ignored or shut down. NOTHING that happens after the 2 hour mark will be counted. Weapons free and player drops prior to WF will be as listed in the regular ROE section. A player dropping after WF shall be considered leaving the OP AREA and the player must report the drop in his report. If the Server drops the game outcome shall be based on what has transpired up to the drop. All kills and deaths will be counted, and the outcome shall be determined by the GNSF COC based on the conditions up to the drop.
Reporting:
Each Player must report the game on the War report system, and again on the normal GNSF reporting system. Any special reporting required based on the mission (ie periscope picture, etc) must be submitted to the GNSF COC by the commanding officer of the game (person chosen to lead the dive)
LAS:
A player becomes LAS (Lost at Sea) if he is unable to reach a specific ending point or 'distance' from a location in missions of this type. If by the end of the time limit the player does not reach this minimum distance, then he shall be considered incapacitated. In this condition, the player must be 'recued by DSRV' within two days before being captured and declaired a POW. ONE rescue mission can be sent to bring the player home and listed as rescued. In this case the asset will be considered 'scuttled' and safe from falling into enimy hands.
POW:
A player becomes a POW if he listed as Lost at Sea and is not rescued within two days. If a rescue mission is not launched, or is launched and fails, both the player and asset will be considered captured, with the asset being added to the other sides avalable asset list. While the asset will be considered lost to the side, reaching the 'end point' will not effect the game outcome. If the mission goals were completed, then a win will be regestered even if a player is later captured.
Rescued:
A player becomes rescued if he is listed as a POW or LAS, and a special 'rescue mission' is played by other players (he can also play if he has another life left) AND is successful in the rescue. If the mission is successful then the player will have that life placed on hold for 2 days and then returned for use.
In addition to rescuing the player, the rescue mission will also determine the state of the asset. A successfull rescue of a LAS will result in the asset being listed as destroyed. A rescue mission for a LAS diver can ONLY be done by another DW dive, and ONLY if the side has an available DSRV. A rescue mission for a POW can ONLY be done by a GR Seal team. | |
