REPORTING

ALL DW logged games must have a cut and paste copy of the debriefing in the description field of the report. If this is not done the game log will be erased and the player will be reprimanded.

ANY changing or falsification to the cut and paste debriefing will be viewed as a direct intentional cheat, and JAG action will be taken.

IN GAME

All players will report IN at the start of the game using the in game chat window.

The PAUSE control is never to be activated. Care must be taken because it is located close to the Depth/Altitude and Course controls and is not protected. If a player accidentally does PAUSE the game, the player shall immediately unpause it and report his mistake to all participants. Depending on the severity of the pause the senior officer present will determine if the game integrity has been affected and can abort the game. A note of the accident will be kept and reported in the game report.

Any drops prior to Weapons Free (WF) and after WF will be handled as in the current GNSF ROE.

If the Host drops, the game will abort automatically. The Host must remain in the game until completion of the game by all combat officers. Weapons Free IS SET AT 10 MINUTES FOR DW and 688.

If killed in combat for any reason the player will report DEAD to all other players in the game.

There is a two (2) hour set default time limit associated with DW and one(1) hour for GR. This time limit can be extended by the participants (DW) if all participants agree. The two hour limit that is associated war games, ladder matches, etc, is considered mandatory and NOT changeable unless stated otherwise in the War mission tasking.

NO HUMAN vs AI (Artificial Intelligence) GAMES ARE ALLOWED FOR SCORING PURPOSES IN DW EXCEPT FOR SPECIALLY DESIGNED EXERCISE MAPS (HUMANS VS AI) THAT MUST BE LOGGED AS SO (EXERCISE) ON THE REPORT PAGE

Task force command would normally fall to the Surface ship, but any platform can be set as command. This will be decided upon before the game is started. One requirement of the task force command is that they shall NOT place any other player of platform at unnecessary risk during the game. For example a Surface ship shall not order a Submarine to perform a suicide flank run in hopes of flushing out the other sides submarine for the Helo to attack. The task force MUST work together and treat ALL allied members as equal team members, not as fodder to increase one platforms kill count. While the task force command will have control over all platforms on his side, ANY platform can refuse unrealistic or suicidal orders. In such a condition, the players shall report this on the game reports.

If a player must leave the game before completion, the player will mark his or her location by firing a TLAM so that it remains underwater. The player shall also shutdown any running torpedoes.

WEAPONS HOLD

During the Weapons Hold time, NO PLAYER shall launch weapons. Weapons are classified as those devices that are used to attack and/or inflict damage (Torpedo, missile, mine).

Any and all sensors CAN be used during the weapons hold time, which includes the Active Sonar and Radar. Also, the launch of countermeasures or UUV prior to weapons free is allowed.

If a player is dropped from the game before weapons free, then when possible the other players will abort the game and go back to the waiting room to recover the dropped player. After weapons free is reached the game will continue to completion, and any dropped player will report the game as a DNF. This issue not a requirement but an option to be exercised by the senior officer present based upon the circumstances at the time.

If a player is dropped during combat and that player\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s weapons score a kill prior to those weapons vanishing (approximately two minutes after the drop), the kill does not count for scoring. You must be present in the game at the time of the kill to score the kill.

If the server drops after WF and all the players are booted to WR or desktop, all players report a DNF.

If there are only 2 players in or left in a game and one drops, the opponent can claim a win. In this case, he must make sure, before logging, that the other player dropped and that they did not just loose connection with each other.

OUTCOME CONDITIONS

Outcome conditions for FFA:

Win - Last survivor, without any kills on neutrals or friendlies.
Draw - Must survive, may be agreed upon or when time limit reached.
Loss - Your platform was destroyed or you killed a neutral or friendly.
DNF - You did not finish the game and you were alive when dropped.

Outcome conditions for FFA Teamplay:

Win - All on the team can claim a win (alive or dead), provided they did NOT have any kills on neutrals or friendlies. The entire other team must be dead. For maps with human controlled sub/surface and human controlled air platform(s) present, a side can claim a win if all opposing human controlled sub/surface platforms are dead or dropped.

Draw - One or more sub/surface teammates must survive on each side, may be agreed upon or when time limit reached. (If only air platforms are left present in the game it is not a draw). You can claim a draw if AT LEAST ONE of your team members are alive.

Loss - Your whole team was destroyed, or you killed a neutral or friendly. For maps with human controlled sub/surface and human controlled air platform(s) present, a side must claim a loss if all human controlled sub(s)/surface platforms (on that side) are dead or dropped.

DNF - You did not finish the game, you were alive when dropped. Choose this if you dnf.

Outcome conditions for GOAL Maps (no teams):

Win - Must survive with no kills on neutrals or friendlies and completed all critical mission goals.
Draw - Must survive, may be agreed upon or when time limit reached.
Loss - Your platform was destroyed or you killed a neutral or friendly or you did not complete all critical mission goals.
DNF - You did not finish the game and you were alive when dropped.

Outcome conditions for GOAL Teams:

Win - ALL players on the team can claim a win if at least ONE team member survives, without you having any kills on neutrals or friendlies, and the team completed ALL critical goals.

Draw - One or more teammates must survive on each side, may be agreed upon or when time limit reached.

Loss - Your team was destroyed or you killed a neutral or friendly or your team did not complete all critical goals.

DNF - You did not finish the game, you were alive when dropped. Choose this if you dnf.

A Kill
1) Destroying an opponent using your weapon(s). (Ramming does not count). This includes kills scored by helicopters guided by a human-controlled FFG
2) The initial destruction of an opponent is stated in your replay.log (688i) or debrief.txt (SC/DW).
3) The kill is not contested (the players involved shall not post game reports until the dispute is resolved).

Game types::

Task Force: A game where two or more different platform types (subsurface/surface/air) are present on at least one side. Example: Side A: One P-3 Orion and one Frigate versus Side B: two submarines (Task Force game for side A, team game for side B).

Team game: Team dive is NOT a dive where just more than 2 persons participate. It’s a dive where more than 2 players participate, and in which alliances have been formed between players with the same platform types on at least one side. For example, 1 vs 2 submarines, or 2 submarines vs Frigates etc.

Multi-station: A game where two or more players are manning different stations on the SAME platform.

Solo: A game where a single person is in command of a platform, with no other players on his side.

Reporting clarifications::

A team, task force or multi-station game is only reported as such by the players who were on that team, task force, or multi-manned platform. Their opponents report according to their own situation. For example, player A against players B and C in a multi-manned submarine; player A will report the game as solo, whilst B and C report the game as multi-manned.

If a game is a task force and a multi-station game for a player at the same time, it shall be reported as task force. If a game is team and multi-station for a player at the same time, it shall be reported as multi-station.

Each player manning a multi-manned platform may take credit for any kills this platform scores. A player killing the multi-manned platform may only claim one kill for their hit.
